Mayo Banditos / Friday Weigh In !!!!

Recommended Posts

Happy Holidays to everyone. I'm proudly to say that I only have 12 lbs to my goal. Thinking of christmas and the best present I could ever have is that I've lost weight & thankful for the lap band.

Had a fill on 12/16 and weighed in at 298. This morning on my scale I was 290.8. I have been VERY tight since my fill and have had some issued eating but it is getting better... thankfully!!

Glad to see everyone made it through the Christmas holiday weekend okay. Rebecca, you are not alone. I went up 4 lbs! Tomorrow I go in for a slight fill (after an unfill about a month ago). I've been able to eat tooooo much lately and it doesn't keep me satisfied. I ended up snacking on a lot of chips and dip over the weekend. Not good. But! I'm not letting it get me down!

Since losing weight from a bad battle with the flu, I was able to get an unfill and now I'm back to my original goal range. 220-223.

Will go for another fill on 1/14/2010 to tighten the band a little, then I should be back in the zone to maintain.

Hey, John, how did it feel to gain weight? Scary or okay? I had an unfill a month ago and just went back today for a refill. I actually went up almost 2 lbs since last month's official weigh-in. That's the first time I've had a gain at the doctor's office. Bummer. Guess I'm not going to make my mini-goal of losing 100 lbs. by New Years. LOL Oh, well. That's life. I am not letting it upset me.

But, it does show how easily I can gain when the restriction is not right. I've also been eating way too many salty things like Sun chips ("they're healthy" I said ) and dip over the holidays. I gave up sugar and had no problem staying away from it, but now I've turned to the salty stuff. Guess my demons haven't all been conquered. Imagine that! :) Oh, yeah, and not exercising for two weeks doesn't help either! Oh, boy, I've just had a reality check here! :tongue2:

To tell you the truth.......It is a little SCARY....... Granted , I wanted to get back to my goal weight and not be 214 as I looked really sick. It was easy to gain it back. I can't wait to see the Doc on 1/14/10 to tighten up............

Finally broke my plateau that I have been stuck at and seem to be moving down a few ounces each day. I was at 255.2 this am, so hopefully I can get some momentum again. I did also get a new and better scale so that helps too!

OTW, that is great! :( I've been thinking about getting a new scale also, but I'm afraid I would obsess about every ounce. lol

John, glad to hear you're feeling back to yourself. I would think it would be a little scary. You're doing so awesome, though. You can handle anything. How did skinny Santa fare this Christmas? ;)

Well, I don't have losses to report. In fact, I'm a little up from my ticker. But, my period is her so I'm writing it off to that.

HOWEVER - I consider it quite a coup that my weight right now is down a bit from where it was before the official holiday season had begun.

I thoroughly enjoyed the holidays. And I indulged in my new way of indulging. But it didn't wipe me out, and for that I am happy and grateful and very encouraged!!

2010 - bring it!

(PS I've started blogging again at Nothing to See Here… if anyone want to visit. I've often blogged about weight issues and today was my first post about weight since my surgery. With photos! I'm pumped.)

Down one pound, and that brings me to 80! I'm happy because I managed to lose 3 pounds over Christmas and New Year!

Good job everyone!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
