I eat fruit daily in small portions, but fruit should always be consumed in the morning and not late evenings due to the sugar content and carbs.

I love watermelon and find it easier to swallow the juice but I admit to spitting out the meaty part after the juice goes down. I also eat grapes and cherries, again spit out any hulls from any fruit that doesn't digest well like apples hules, peach skin or any thing that feel like it may be heavy to get stuck going down.

Just about everything hurts to eat. So I'm focusing more on liquids that are high in Protein which includes fruit smoothies.

I love mixed berry, with organic blueberry, rasberry, strawberry and then blended with ice, organic yogurt, and Pom blueberry/pomegrante juice or Pom cherry/pomegrante juice. Mango, Orange, banana smoothies are great too! And if I have to leave the house in the hurry, starbucks has good ones with between 16 and 21 grams of Protein.< /p>

I like fruit and try to eat it daily as it does help keep things "moving." I just don't always "think" about it and will end up grabbing something else instead. Trying to change that. I'm on a white nectarine kick right now and that's helping me get more fruit in. At the Farmer's Market the other day they had "Nectaplums" and those are SOOOOO good! Love them! Pluots are another one that I'm liking a lot right now.

Tahan, I'm hoping you don't mean you're only a month out from surgery and you're trying to eat fruit? Double-check your food guidelines from your surgeon on that one. I couldn't eat fruit for the first 8-9 months according to my surgeon and a month out, I was still on soft foods. Be careful!!!

I eat 3-4 fruit every day.. more than veggies, but that is due to personal preference. I love blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, grapes, nectarines, apples, bananas, etc. I don't have an issue eating any of them, even the skin. My surgeon said to limit fruit, due to calories, to 1-2 per day, but I have never listened to that. I think everyone is different.. you will need to experiment and see.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
