I just had my second fill yesterday and I definatly feel restriction!! Im happy that it will keep me from over eating again. This last week was really bad for me, we had a death in the family and I tend to eat when Im stressed. I got on the scale this morning and it has actually went down again. My total loss is now 25lbs!! Im very happy with that.

Happy mothers day to you too!

Hi All,

I have had 2 fills this past week (4cc + 1cc) and am happy to say I think I finally have some restriction ;) ......but I will have to give it another couple of days to be sure. Down 1lb, but hopeful.

Well... in a week and three days. lol. Thanks! But you know what I realized today?!

When I was at my high weight, one of the things that made me snap that I had gotten too big was that I had "juicy hands" for the first time in my life. You know, to where the knuckles really dimple in?? Well, no offense to anyone whose hands are like that, it's just that mine never had been, so it really woke me up. Welll.... today..... I realized.... I don't have them anymore!!!! Wooohoooo....

Being this size,32 pounds doesn't make that much visible, remarkable change in my body overall, so I have to count every victory!!

I had my first fill one week ago. I've lost 3lbs. which I'm happy with. I'm impressed with everyone's success so far - really amazing job everyone! I've not been that successful yet, but I've not been exercising like I should be. I'm ready to do that now so hope it picks up for me. I definitely have restriction - I worried maybe too much - b/c I really struggle with things getting stuck regularly - but its teaching me what I'm supposed to do! I'm learning!

JLRAY

I know what you mean by chubby hands, I don't have that problem but I have seen them lots. My problem is my old lady arms!!! I hate that hanging fat on the back of my arms, I have vowed to get rid of that. I have lost 25 lbs and it shows but not as much as I would like it to. My clothes are hanging on me but I'm not quite into the next size down yet. They fit but a little tighter than I wear my clothes.

Lifestartsnow, I know what you mean about food getting stuck, I have had 2 fills and if I don't chew it good enough it gets stuck. I have to be careful now, and I can only eat a small amount without feeling sick. Maybe now I will start really loosing weight.

Have a great day, Bernadette

Wow, you all are doing great! Could some of you enlighten me on what your eating in a day? My problem is after work. I struggle so bad during that time. I need a fill so bad but can't go in until the 20th of this month.

So sorry to hear about the death in your family Bernadette.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Everyone seems to be doing so well, I feel like I am struggling. I had my first fill on 4/27 and I have only lost 2 lbs. I too am having trouble with food getting stuff I forget to chew my food extra fine. I go to the gym 3 times a week and work out for almost 90 minutes between weight lifting and cardio. How much food is everyone eating and how oftern do you eat? Is anyone on a low carb diet? Looking for some insight as to why i am loosing so slowly. It's great to have other bandsters to talk to about these things.

Jdelaere - I'm in the same boat as you! I lost most of my weight before while waiting to have surgery! And, I've only lost 1 lb since my fill on 4/21.

It's getting pretty discouraging!

I was banded on 3-23. I had a fill 1 week ago and I have lost 6 lbs this week for a total loss of 35 (16 pre-op and 17 post op). I work out 5-6 days a week at the gym spinning and doing strength training. I feel pretty good restriction with my first fill so I will see how long that lasts. good luck to everyone.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
