Gained 2lbs

Recommended Posts

Okay I had my 3rd fill and I gained 2lbs. Now I must accept resonsibility, because I know I have made the worse food choices this past six weeks. I've even been drinking, wine  and mojitos. Forgive me (I'm holding my head down in shame). Now I can two 1 of two things at this point. Feel sorry for myself or be greatful that it was only a 2lb weight gain and get off my butt and do what I know is right. I choose to get off my butt and do what I know is right. I didn't go through all this for nothing I tell you that. The surgery, time off of work, the money I've invested So today is a new day for me and I'm going to start making the right choices. and move forward. My birthday is July 23rd and I will be 43 years old. My current weight is 262,. My goal is to be at 225 by my birthday. That is a weight lost of 37lbs in 3.5 months. That is something that I should be able to do. So here I go...

Hope to hear from you ladies soon. Our board was one of the most happening spots and now I hear crickets when I sign on ...

Those cocktail calories are sneaky because they don't fill you up. Congratulations on taking evasive action at the 2 pound gain and I know you will be successful at arriving at your B'day goal.

Hello everyone!

I too have had some struggles. Its funny, cause you think that once you take the big step of having the surgery, is that you won't have the struggles with food. WRONG!!!! I am trying to do better about my food choices as well, but I have truly had my moments. The weight is moving so slllooooowww.

My birthday was last weekend, and I truly got it up, and I drunk more than I care to really discuss.

I am back in the saddle now. I use to cook a lot of Soups. It really worked for me, especially during the weekday. So I am back slow cooking my meals. I plan to make a few different kinds, and freeze them. I don't want to have to count calories, but I am wondering is that really the best thing.

I also need to do my best to get on this site, cause it really helps. I guess I wished that there was much more discussion going on, but I have to put my part in to make that happen.

I will be here to offer support to all the sisters that need it, in hopes of getting some encouragement myself.

cheers

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
