I just had my band installed and I haven't lossed any weight in four weeks. I guess it is my fault because I haven't really tried but when I eat I get chest pain so I stop. Is any body experiencing this?

Note: I'm getting my first adjustment april 1st.:tongue_smilie:

The weeks between your surgery and first fill are hard. You may not lose much weight and some people gain a few pounds. Make sure to eat very slowly and chew your food well to avoid the chest pain. Just keep with it and don't let it get you down!!

I had lap band on the 23rd if Feb. I went throught the samething. know the scales don't move. I lost 17lbs and this week it jumps up and down. and did all month. So I am going to just weight one time a week. I think some has to do with when you have a BM and how much Water you drink. I know I will go just a little and then I will have a real full BM and the weight will change every three or four days. I am crazy or has any one else feel this way.

I understand that. I went to the lady who bought my teadmill with a tv built in. She was my neighbor and personal trainner for a few months to redo my membership. I traded for a years membership. Well I had heart trouble a year aga Jan and phoneo so I but it on hold and now she changed jobs but she told me it was on hold. She said if not she is working at Hard Bodys and she would let me come there for my 10 months left. I am just feeling like I would enjoy that. I am sore from tilling my garden and mowing and planting thrusday still. I hope to get back into Water first.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
