  1. Hello! I was banded 10/23/08. I have lost 55lbs and loving it!! I know I have a ways to go, but I am very happy so far. I never really feel full, but I always measure my food and eat only 1 cup of food for breakfast and lunch. For supper I measure 1 1/2 cups food, but do not force myself to eat all of it. I am still drinking one protien shake a day. I am so happy with the energy I have again - oh how I missed that. I don't have a specific weight loss goal, but several small ones. My first was to get under 300lbs - done. Next was to get into a pair of pants I bought 5 years ago and never wore - done and they are getting loose. Next one is to get into the jeans I wore to my 10 reunion - wish me luck. I have the best doctor ever - Dr. Sufficool in Rapid City, SD. He is so supportive and really talks to you and listens. He has the best staff - Terry and Debbie - My favorite ladies!! I hope the best for everyone out there - good luck and better health.
  2. The weeks between your surgery and first fill are hard. You may not lose much weight and some people gain a few pounds. Make sure to eat very slowly and chew your food well to avoid the chest pain. Just keep with it and don't let it get you down!!
