Friday Weigh Ins

Recommended Posts

JG- take a peek at my WL spreadsheet from yesterday's blog ('Let's talk numbers'-link below). Remember I started at a lower BMI and had much less to lose than most...I've lost slow and steady...an average of 1.6 lbs. per week and that's adding in the 5 pounds of clothing they weighed me in at the hospital on band day, so I've lost even less.

We'll all get there in our own time...every pound is one we won't have to carry again...ever!!!

JT...did you CALL yet? I'm worried!

MT- Woot on the 4 pound week! Awesome!! Thanks about the new pic..DH took it this past weekend when I became 'normal' LOL!

Thanks for your concern he's in surgery all day today so I'm going to stick out the weekend and call on Monday.....

I made my self stick much more to the rules today and felt a bit better. This morning I didn't have anything till my band told me it was OK I had a shake then and had a yogurt cup about an hour after. We had a lunch thing today; you'd have died laughing.

I ordered the Soup. When they came to our table the guy that brought the food had sat the big tray behind a pole and gave everyone their food. All I could see was this little 6oz or so bowl….fine with me...he ladles the soup form something else into this small bowl and places the bowl in front of me. Then brings out this bowl about 5 inches wide and 6 inches deep......I ate the small bowl and still have a quart to eat over the weekend. If you go to P.F. Changs the bowl of chicken noodle is huge.

Down a little, finally broke thru the 60 pound mark .. 40 or 45 to go.. Next few weeks should be interesting - leave next Friday for some R&R in Italy ... bugger, that could be challenging..

I stayed the same this week. TOM and stress, I'm sure played a big part.

I failed miserably at my BodyBump class. I thought I was going to puke & passout, only 10 minutes in :) The instructor agreed that I should try again at another time. She told me to go walk & monitor my heart rate. I went on the bike watched my HR and did 16 miles in 45 minutes. So I feel very proud of myself for not letting not being able to do the class get me down. Big pat on the back for me from me :sifone:

Congrats JT on passing your 1st goal!

217 for me this week my fill seems to be really helping out although I'm starting to be able to eat more than I was I hope this momentum holds out for a little longer.

Couple observations...I used The 50 Million Pounds Challange to lose weight before my surgery and still track my weight on that site. Wellllll......today when I entered my 217 I looked at my weight a year ago and on 13 feb 2009 I was at 320 that makes 103 pounds in one year. Second observation since my consultation I've lost 111 pounds I'm 1/3 the man I used to be.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
