Good Morning from FRIGID Kansas. It's 0 degrees this morning. We have snow rear deep to a giraffe going south and the streets are ice rinks. That being said, I weighed in at 232 again this week. Thought the snow shoveling would have burned something!!! Stay warm my friends.

Another snow bunny here (Chicago/work, Kenosha/home). I'm down 4 lbs. I still have much to re-lose, but I am doing it!

I haven't been around in a while but I decided to stop on by with an update. 235.8 on my scale this morning. I was at a plateau for a while but I hit my sweet spot and things are picking up again. Slow but steady loss. No complaints here. Hope everyone else is doing great.

Sorry I've been MIA for the last couple weeks I've been really down about no change in my weight for what 2-3 weeks. I get a fill on Tuesday I just hope the doc is happy with my progress. We got our floors in what a week that was took a day longer then they said it would and that was working long hours...the installer actually took a box of flooring after the job was complete I talked to the sales person at Lowe's she called him and he came clean about it and took it back so we could get some credit for it.

Good Morning gang, haven't been around here in a while, so I thought I would ck in to see how you guys are doing! As I thought , you guys are doing really good! I, on the other hand, have NOT!! But, I'm back in the saddle again. I was really bad thru the Christmas holidays, stress, to many goodies and head hunger, gained over 5 pds. But then BG suggested going on the 5 day pouch test, and I did. Lost the exta pds and then lost another pd this past wk. So that puts me at 181. While I was on th 5 day test, I really did some serious thinking as to why I am, again, failing myself on this journey. I am finding myself "happy" with weight that I've lost and not really giving it all that I can! I know that I can do sooo much more and need to lose alot more but my heart is just not in to it any more. So I am making an extra effort to exercise more and stick with the program of eating all my Protein, drink all my Water and no sugar products or carbs!! Thanks, Hopeful, for the challenge, still no sweet stuff!! But, anyway that has been my life, sorry for the long post but all this "stuff" just came pouring out!! You guys, have a good wk!!

:biggrin:Happy Friday all! It's been a stressful week, but the good news is I didn't stuff it down with food for once (it's still my first unconcious reaction, but I'm getting more 'aware' of it so I can stop it before I start reaching for the food). DD-22 YO, got laid-off/cut backs and she's crushed...life experiences suck when it's your kid. DS1 went back to college last weekend and he thinks he has the swine flu (4 hours away...I'm tempted to go). DH had his 'worst week ever' at work (they just went through cut backs and are moving to a new building). DS2 is happy as a lark...going skiing with the school club tonight. LOL...life is a roller-coaster (that I can fit on).

I'm at 167.5...finally lopped another head off my ticker this week for 80 lbs. total! 1 more pound until a 'Normal' BMI...yes, I'm going to make you all call me 'normal' whether you believe I am or not LOL.

Have a great weekend all!

you have done incredibly well - congrats.. even if you are frustrated at being 1 pound shy. I am a mere 50 shy (actually, dunno but it is a long way away)..

I am frustrated by not being able to say '50' yet - have been saying 'almost 60 down' for a tad too long now.. COME-ON..

Have a great week everyone...

Hopefully next week....

Down 2lbs this week. The fill is helping!! Whoo hoo! If I didn't change scales (old one died) I think it would've been down 3-4lbs, whatever I'll take 2.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
