Weighing in at 234 today, also had my 2nd fill this morning. I am now at 5cc in my band. I gained 6lbs. so I am not happy about that but with this adjustment and keeping with my diet and exercise plans I will conquer this battle of the bulge!

(I will persevere through the tears of losing my mom.) :sneaky:

I am a bit sad today. I actually gained three pounds, went to doctor for slight unfill and now have lost those three pounds but it's disappointing to be at the same weight as five weeks ago. I need this to work.

So I am keeping my weight at 251.

I was 281.8 on Friday, then inexplicably gained a HUGE amount - over 10 lbs!!!! - by yesterday. 192!! WTH??? It can only be Water because I have not eaten over 1,200 - 1,500 calories a day, and it would take me like 3 solid weeks of 6,000 cals a day to gain back THAT much weight. WHY?? I have an email in to my family doc because this is scary! Has anyone else ever gained 10 lbs in 4 days?!!? Last time it happened was 26 years ago and I was preggers with toxemia . . . .

Very frustrating that I don't know what it could be. I do not feel swollen or bloated, my clothes still fit, I DO feel kind of weepy so . . . maybe it's hormonal . . . . just depressing!

AngieB- You're doing great! Congrats!

Riley- Glad you called the doc...10 lbs. is too much too fast (3 days) to be normal unless you were really dehydrated before or were really trying to bulk up (LOL). Hormones can do a few pounds, but 10 sounds extreme. I've only gained that much/more only right after being in the hospital for surgeries (IV fluids and swelling). Check your shins/ankles for any swelling- see if you can press your fingers into the flesh for a few seconds and see any indent when you take your hand away. Hope everything is OK! Keep us posted! Best wishes- BG

Thanks Groupie! Isn't it weird?? My doc just wants me to come in and have my blood pressure checked today and tomorrow, and to drink a LOT of Water - all my blood work was fine. And he says to avoid sweets and sodium, duh. I have no edema - pitting or otherwise - which just really seems weird if I am retaining water! Oh and he also suggested that I weigh in his office because it might be my scale, LOL - I can pretty much guarantee that his will be heavier than mine!!

I have swollen before from eating an allergen - shellfish or iodine - but have had no exposure that I can think of. I will see what tomorrow brings . . . .

Keep us posted! Let's hope you can get to the bottom of this! Maybe your scale needs to be calabrated (sp).

Oh, and my Dr's office scale weighs me in lighter than my home scale. I love it!

Band Groupie - Thanks for the cheers! You are on fire yourself! Yippee to all of the April bandsters who made a life change!

I have had a extreme couple of food DAYS! Ugh! Today is a new day and I am getting back on track!

I have scheduled my 4th fill also. I am going in on September 25th at 11:45. This one will be for a tweek. I am on the fence....do I really need a fill, or am I pushing it??? I have some time to figure it out.

Happy Friday to you all!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
