Friday Weigh Ins

Recommended Posts

I was thinking just that about my weight I've got 7 to make my goal for the challange. Makes me reconsider if I want to commit to future challenges.

JayTee! You are a big part of what keeps me on track! We're almost neck-and-neck throughout (although you're always just a bit ahead). You're highest was 328, mine was 327. We both lost about 30 lbs before surgery and are currently just two pounds apart. A challenge helps give us a short-term goal to work toward, because too often the big goal gets blurry throughout the ups and downs. Please don't be discouraged, but congratulate yourself that you've done this great so far! Remember that others may be seeing your progress as encouragement to keep pushing!

HI everyone! I have been MIA from the site. Had a couple of business trips to make and that always gets me messed up. My wwight as of this friday 6/19 is 229 even. I think that is down about a pound. I actually had a 2 pound gain after my fill (2 weeks ago). Shoot fire fuzzy, I can eat more after the fill than I could before! I had been hungry for so long that I over did it for a few days. Still gotta watch myself. I am an afternoon / early evening eater.

Thanks Kaner I will strive to continue my progress so that you are challenged........lol

This morning I was thinking I commited to the band instead of bypass even though I knew the loss was slower and now I'm getting frustrated at the rate. I'm trying to remind my self slow and steady wins the race and already have noticeable difference.

I'm suppose to go to 1 year of support group but I really get more support here than I get there you all know me so much better.

Thanks to everyone for the encouragement and support.

Hey there, JT, I'm not going to be able to make my goal either, right now I'm going to have to lose 10 pds. also, and that's just not going to happen!!! But, like you, that's why I chose the LB, to lose this weight slowly. It's the best way and the safest way ! We didn't get this way over night and it's not coming off that way ! I just set my goal too high, but what I am doing, is ENJOYING the losses that I have !!! Not to mention all the cloths that I've hidden back, that I can wear now !! Hang in there and on the next challenge, lets be realistic !!!

Hi guys. Didn't want to post because I didn't lose any weight. Oh well....having tons of sweets that the family reunion had nothing to do with that I'm sure! Back on target....

Oh and I decided not to do a weight loss challenge this early out. I am already down on myself now and I don't want to add another reason to it....Keep up the good work everyone!

KMCD: Keep your chin up - we are all going to have "family reunions" or other events, incidents, etc that are going to cause us to get off track for a day, a few days.....but don't give up. Get back on track tomorrow!

A few weeks ago, I had a Saturday night when I went to TGIFriday's for dinner and ate 2 cheeseburger sliders and then later, went to Coldstone Creamery for ice cream. I gained 2 lbs that weekend, and I was so mad at myself. The ice cream was not worth the 2 lbs.

This journey is all about baby-steps and the more steps we take, the easier it will get. Sometime soon, you will go to an event and the sweets will not control you. Tomorrow is a new day, so hang in there! :)

FRIDAY WEIGH INS

26 JUNE 09

********************

Hey all

Weighed in today with a gain 125.8kg.

Up 900g.

Feeling VERY angry with myself but trying to be really insightful and real with myself - as you can't change what you don't acknowledge. I guess I have been expecting the band to do more than it has. I guess I poopooed the "the band is a tool" comments on here thinking it was a magic cure. But I think I have clicked.

The band just makes me "normal" in terms of metabolism etc. If I want to lose weight - I will still have to do this bit myself! eg. diet & exercise. Which is okay and I shouldn't be surprised, but I guess I am scared - because I have been in the "you need to diet & exercise" role for my whole life - and that obviously didn't work - so it scares me that I can't do this. Anyway, rant over!!

LAST WEEK'S WINNER WAS KANER!!!!!! WITH 6LB!@!!! You go girl!!

Look forward to hearing your weigh ins today!

I've gained 0.4 lbs this week. I am beginning to not like my scale much :-( I got my 2nd fill last week too and it was good for a couple of days. The only difference is that I get stuck more often I guess from eating too fast and not chew enough but I can still eat a lot for a lap band person. I currently have 5.6 cc in my band.

Have a great weekend guys,

Alisa

Weighed in today at 223. Had my third fill this week and still gained. I found out I have a 10cc band and have a whopping 2.8 cc's in it. Ready to get this ball rolling and get closer to restriction!!!! This slow process is really starting to get old- gotta work today on changing my mindset. We will all get there- maybe not by tonight but it will happen.

Still hovering around 196. Today, I was 196.8 (I guess that's up .6?), that's up, but at least it's not way up. Had a tragic week. My ex-husband is dying and my daughter is beside herself. Cancer sucks! Ate too many sweets this week and didn't work out at all. Just felt sad and worried about my daughter. Next week will be better.... I'm thinking about going in for another adjustment. Was looking at a pair of pants (size 10's) and just dreaming about fitting into them. I give myself a year and I hope and pray I will be there...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
