preop diet and cooking for family

I'm starting my second week on my preop diet and I'm hanging in there. Barely! My problem, cooking for the family. Just smelling the food makes me crazy hungry. I try to do my cooking just after having my shake so I don't feel so hungry, but it isn't helping. Has this happened to anyone else and how do you deal with it? Oh, and yes I've been drinking my waters and crystal lights but they only help for a short time........... can't wait until March 12th. arghhhhh:crying::cursing::)

i just tell myself about the bikini i might get or the victorias secret i want! Just focus and also alot of pizza and tv dinners for the family! i also took out any food i would eat!

I bought things hubby could cook (hotdogs, burgers, beans, pizza). I also made meals ahead of time and put them in the freezer (roast, enchaldas, spaghetti, chili).

If i feel it's making me crazy to smell it while he's warming things up or while they are eating, i would go take a bath.

now that i'm banded, and still not allowed to eat solids yet, i go take a shower (since i'm not allowed a bath for 2 weeks...to keep the steri strips on as long as possible)
