Just found out I'm Pregnant!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am so glad for this website. I was banded in 01/2008. I was told I would have problems getting pregnant because I have PCOS. I waited until my bandiversay and I just found out I was pregnant!!! I'm so excited but nervous. Any support from my fellow pregnant banders would be appreciated. My doctors appointment is not until next week, can anyone give specific advice on exercising, can you continue to excerise like you were? Thanks again.

Congratulations!!!!

I didn't really exercise pre-pregnancy, but now at almost 31 weeks, I've been doing wii-fit for over a month now. I am just careful.. it wasn't until the past week or so that I feel 'strain' or pulling, heaviness, etc. from my belly when I'm trying to do things like hula-hoop. But, I didn't run, I know that would have hurt. You can kind of tell as you go along what is going to be ok, based on how it affects your body.

Your obgyn should give you a list of info on this though on your first visit, so just take it easy till next week and they make sure you're not high risk or anything special.

..another one drinks the LBT water!

I exercised religiously pre-pregnancy and tried to keep it up post pregnancy . . . but I had some back discomfort around my bra line which would get a lot worse after doing certain kinds of aerobics. I was also just exhausted the first few months of pregnancy . . . could go to bed at 7:30 at night and still be tired at 8 the next morning.

Second trimester is better. I think as long as you are choosing something that is not ultra high impact and you feel good doing it, it shouldn't be a problem.

I do exercise occasionally now, but occasionally is the word for it. I try to walk and swim, everything low impact.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
