I'm sorry, but I don't speak to the pre-banded.

dan2001xj, as long as you chew properly, take small bites and eat all your Protein you really shouldn't have any issues with us.

Oh wait.. I've been banded.

Dan,

You're wrong, the people who have had their bands removed are much better than everyone else:thumbup:

Oh boy!! When do I get to be snobbish? How long after banding? I wanna be like the cool guys. Is there an announcement? An award? Some initiation rite?

**Tap bounces excitedly in anticipation of this**

What? both pre and post banding I think this is a great place to get information and support. Perhaps you don't like some of us because we tell you like it is? The good, the bad, the ugly and the fact that it isn't a magical cure. It does take a little work on our part. I hope you just keep reading and get the info you need to be successful. Good luck.

I've been aware of dan2001xj for about a 1/2 hour now.

He's messing around!

It's a joke, something to post because he wanted a rise out of people.

I shall quote the wonderful Joker "Why so Serious?"

I voted for the last option:thumbup: (I really hate smilies but I had to post something!)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
