My best friend and I are seriously considering Lap Band, and have already started eating our 'bucket list'. I just joined this site today, and read 'TheGhOst's' posting on another thread...

"Speaking of last meals, running up to the pre-op diet I think I had a whole month of "last meals". Everytime I went to eat I kept thinking about what foods I might have to give up after the band and indulging one last time. Ended up it was all a big waste. The foods I use to think I loved and would miss are either just doesn't even interest me any more or I am still able to eat them (in smaller portions). Sometimes I wish I had believed that pre-band, then maybe I wouldn't have started this journey nearly 10 pounds heavier than when I first decided on the band."

I'm going to try to stop eating through my 'bucket list' and avoid the extra pounds!

I love this thread. My surgery is this Friday and since I'm going to fast all day on Thursday, the past couple days have been my BUCKET LIST DAYS.

Fri

- All I Can Eat Sushi

Sat

- BBQ Ribs

- Fried Rice

- Diet Cola

Sun

- Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger from Jack in the Box

- Curly Fries

- Diet Cola

Monday

- Jalepeno Cheesebread

Tuesday

- Sicilian pizza

- chips and salsa

Wednesday (last chance)

- All I Can Eat Sushi

The worst part is this isn't really a bucket list, just another week in my life. After writing it all down and recapping, I'm starting to realize why I need this band.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
