Has anyone had a fill yet?

Recommended Posts

I had my first fill yesterday. It hurt when the needle went in and then it stopped. It was a little sore yesterday. It hurts only when you press on it today.

I had my surgery on 1/27 due to have the first fill on March 3. I saw the nutriutionist today and get to move on to mushy. Which I had already been doing some of any way. Now I have to buckle down and get the weight gone. I did not do well just having liquids.< /p>

I am nine days past my first fill and I believe it was not what I had hoped it to be. I feel NO restriction or anything really. No difference. I hear it takes some people a few times to get the right amount but I have to wait at least a month until my next appointment. Honestly, I am not looking forward to that experience for a few weeks. I am still slooooowly losing 1-2 pounds a week so I can't complain. I just wish I could speed things up a little without using all my willpower.:blushing: Has anyone else really slowed down?

Ok! I got my first fill tonight. It did not hurt at all. I think I have a little restruction but really don't know as of yet. I am only allow liquids for tonight. Tomorrow I move on to soft foods and by Saturday is the real test because I will be back on all foods again. I am right on with my weight for my lost of 30 lbs. Which I need to change my tacker. I will change it real soon. I am so happy, I got my fill for I was eating more than I should have been. Maybe now the scale will move again. We will see.

Hooray for you, Peanut! I know it's silly, but I'm a little envious of y'all that get fills. You're "adjustable" and I'm stuck. (pout)

I had a fill today for the first time. I have a 9cc band and they filled it with 4ccs. The hospital that is doing all of my band stuff does every fill in front of the x-ray machine. I took 3 shots of radioactive crap and the first was before the needle. They did 2cc and then I did another shot and they injected another 2cc. I took a final shot and the Dr said that it looked like there was no restriction. Great. My band is almost half full and there's nothing stopping me from eating :(

The Dr that is in charge of the banding patients wasn't in today, but she called and said that we will do a follow up next month with another fill if needed. I'm just scared that going back on solid foods, and with no restrictions, that I'm going to fail miserably. How much did everyone else get for their first fill?

My first fill was on the 26th and I was filled with 2ccs in a 14cc band. I can only eat a 1/2 cup of food. It's the weirdest feeling for me. I got stuck a little today after eating very well piece of chewed chicken it stayed for a little bit and I was out when it happened. I did not panic and my DH knew right away what was happening. I just rubbed my chest in that area lightly and it went down. I did not know what else to do but lucky enough for me it worked or I would have been on my way to get Papaya enzymes from Trader Joe's.

I only got 1cc in my 10cc band. You were very lucky to get so much. I go in two weeks for more. I hope that my doctor will give me more next time for I still don't have any restruction at all.

I am getting my first fill on 9th March. Are you allowed to eat or drink beforehand? My appointment is ay 9am so I won't have too long to wait if I can't. Just wondered. Thanks.

Yes I was allowed to eat and drink before the fill. Afterwards I did not want anything. That was a great feeling. Right after my fill for the first week I could only eat about 1/2 cup but now I can eat just a little more. I know I need another fill. I eat more and no restruction at this time. I can't wait for that sweet spot that everyone talks about.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
