January 29th Post-Op CheckIn...

Recommended Posts

I was banded yesterday and I am feeling great! None of the left shoulder pain or anything! I have been up and around as much as possible and even took the dog for a walk! While in the hospital, I walked every hour for 10 minutes (mostly b/c I couldn't sleep). I am trying my best with full liquids and Water today, but am definitely not where I need to be! :)

How did everyone else do?? Check In when you can!

Glad to hear you're doing well! I was banded on Monday and I'm feeling good, but still really sore. I'm able to get liquids down, but not as many as I'm supposed to. Can't wait till I'm allowed mushy food!!

Feel Good!!

Had my banding on the 28th January 09 and got the pain in the shoulder. Have been working on trying to make my liquid diet more exciting.

Went to the shops today and energy levels not quiet there.

Feeling better today, (still have gas problem)

Getting to know different signals within my body and trying to recognise them.

Felt hungry this afternoon.

looking forward to mush:thumbup:

Have first visit with my surgeon in 5 days and then follow up in a further week.

congrats on your banding..each day gets better & the more you move about truly does help for the pain & swelling to go down & when that happens you will be able to get more fluids in..dont worry about not getting them all in for the time being..just manage what you can but try not to become dehydrated..

Hi everyone!

I was banded on the 29th. Everything went well but I had a lot of nausea. Yesterday I was questioning my decision but I feel much better today. I just can't find a comfy seat. I'm sipping a Protein shake right now. My doc says 4oz/hr. We'll see how it goes. I'm still really sore, like I got beat up in the belly!

Hey, Girl! I ate my first little meal today and was very nervous!!! I had some scrambled egg!! I am trying to work out whether the feeling in my belly is fullness or just pain? I am so excited about having this done, but after reading some of the blogs... I'm kinda scared, there is alot of people that this hasn't worked for, I hope thats not us!!

Keep drinking and walking!!!:bananalama:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
