Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!

Recommended Posts

Let's try to get back to what the subject was....or at least disagreeing with one anothers posts, and thoughts or ideas as opposed to calling one another names, or the thread will end up closed. And I for one like being able to link the absurd articles relating to this bizarre woman!

Thanks!

Kat

Who cares what the medical community says? Who are they anyway? The medical community aborts children, so I don't always take what drs. have to say as law. They may be 'considered' premature, but that's not what they are any longer. Babies that are born early are premature till they reach the 5 lbs. that is acceptable for them to leave the hosptal, which is what a full term baby is when they are born. (I will not doubt that some premies can have some problems in development later, but so do some full term babies)

Good grief woman, what planet do you live one? Again you espouse the most silly comments on this thread.

Pattygreen's comments concerning doctors reminds me of an old joke: what are the differences between God and a doctor? God doesn't think that he is a doctor.

But upon reading her posted responses to just about everything I am inclined to rephrase that old joke as follows: what is the difference between Pattygreen and God? God doesn't think that he is Pattygreen, eh.

Pattygreen, you simply won't or are unable to get it - why your behaviour brings disgust and frustration and despair amongst your co-religionists, and an utter lack of desire to join up with your religion from atheists such as myself. Shame on you, grrl!

You're not related to Pattygreen are ya green? (heh)

To your point, I've often wondered about people who are either so over the top in all their religious authority they drive people away from religion, those tele-evangelists who get caught cheating people out of their money, or so on and so on. I would love to know when it's time to face God, if there's some kind of line up of all the people they've driven away from Him with their words and/or actions, and if they're held accountable for those souls. I also don't hold a narrow view of who is and is not going to go to Heaven, nor am I able to point out who will and will not make the cut. It saddens me when people use religion in this way.

The preemie thing has been beaten to death (as has the abortion topic) but I gotta add that our identical twin preemie grandsons' excellent doctors explained the reasons why preemies are considered preemies even after the 5 pound mark (which as someone pointed out is an antiquated consideration for discharge from the hospital.) There are a number of problems that they can develop years after they are born. And that's why doctors and nurses in the NICU spend so much time educating new parents of preemies. They have to watch for signs of trouble long after they're taken home.

And Beth, consider the source and blow it off.

green, the octopussy's mental health is seriously in question because we all know it's insane to not have sex and still wind up the mother of 14 children.

Yeah, I know. But like heartfire said, it's like watching a train wreck. You almost can't NOT watch.

LOL Nope, my family's name is Green but my father was Jewish; he was a Holocaust survivor who found it difficult to believe in God after seeing what was allowed in His universe. My mother was Scottish (and French) and I was baptised Episcopalian and sent away to a boarding school run by Episcopalians. Religious belief didn't really take once I heard that there would be no animals in Heaven. I did go through a briefly devout period and drove my parents nuts worrying about my father's eternal fate after his death. They lied and told me that he was baptised just to shut me up and this worked just because my understanding of theology was kinda shaky at the time. I was only 11.

When folks like me watch the Benny Hinns of this world, corrupt scamsters who are just into it for the money of this world, we cannot be but alienated from the belief. It really does seem like studying this miracle book - The Bible - and praying has not done those folks a helluva lot of good, does it?

You do raise a good and very amusing point in your post: what if God does exist and He is gonna punish each and everyone of you who has been personally responsible for driving someone away from His religion? Pattygreen had better change her name to brown as in toast.

Thanks for sharing your story, green. It's very interesting to read about how others came to form their beliefs.

LOL...@ your toast comment.

Carrie, I'll try not to hold your occupation against you.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
