Dr. Henderson is the very Best....I would recommend him to everyone...

the entire staff has been great to work with...so helpful, they work so hard to help us become our best.....

I have now had 4 fills and I am at 2.1cc in my band that holds 4cc....

I just want to congratulate you on your disicion to meet with Dr. Kent...

You will love the staff....I went thru the informational meeting with Dr. Kent...(and almost went to him for surgery) but my friend had given me the name of his partner, Dr. Henderson..they use the same staff and they are wonderful...Sandra (PA) and Ginger & Laura (those are the names of the ones that I can think of right now...) they are the GREATEST...I think this is the best decision that I have ever made...

Good Luck with your appointment...Keep us posted...

If you work at the hospital...do you get to take part in the exercise clases that they have....I have always Wanted to be able to be in that...but alas I live to far away....:think

I guess it is always different to be involved with the medical field...as long as I am not the one in pain...

:update:

Had my fill yesterday. For the first time it hurt a little when he stuck me, kind of like those intra-muscle shots :faint2: . But at dinner last night...I had restriction! Maybe not enough, but wow! I felt something!:high5: I ate about 3 oz of meat (pureed) and a couple of bites of veggies and that was it...I couldn't eat anymore.:whoo: Yea!

Now if I could just get my head on board with the program. It's been well over 3 months since my surgery, and since I haven't really had restriction until now, my mind is not cooperating any longer. :frusty: I wanted to finish my dinner last night. I didn't want to want to finish it, but I did want to.:) Head hunger sucks.:cry The victory here is that I DIDN'T finish it.:nervous The little victories, right? :phanvan

No Debbi unfortunately I don't participate in the exercise thing. We pay about 15 dollars a month to join and we use the same equipment they use. It is cardiac rehab. Treadmills , an elliptical machine and a bike or two. I need to have more options so I have to figure out if I am going to the Ywca or a private gym. Great Kristi I pray this is it!

Beautiful new avatar, Dee! Good luck on your fill today! Funny coincidence...I go to the cardiac rehab center at the hospital here in Savannah for personal training. But they let us use the gym and take Water aerobics as well. I work for the city so I get it for $15 a month. Love it!

I had my fill today! I have almost 3cc in my 4cc band. I drank the Water in the office and felt a little more restriction. I have a feeling that this is it. Dr. Kent hits my port everytime. I am gonna eat some Soup in a minute and I will definitely let ya'll know if I feel a difference! Say a prayer!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
