I need some advice

Recommended Posts

I have had problems for years with bras. I can't just go into any store and find one that works with me. I usually get them from Lane Bryant, as they seem to be the only place near me where I can find what I am looking for. My question is does anyone have any ideas where I can find a good bra with good support. My bra size is 48-50 DDD. Thanks for any advice.

Nordstrom is a great place to get a proper fitting. Once you have the size, you can go online and purchase bras in your size.

I wear minimizer bras from Chantelle everyday. It's great for my 38dddd (g) boobs!

I only buy bras at Lane Bryant. I am a 42D or 42DD depending. Yes, they are expensive but they hold up really well and seem to last forever. I've bought them at Fashion Bug before, because they have a plus department, but they feel flimsy and cheap after buying them at LB. I have a hard time finding a 42D/DD in most retail stores. It's worth the money to have them last for a year or two or more. If you can come by their coupons, you can get a really good deal. I never even go to that store unless I have one. They offer $25 off $75 purchase, $50 off $100 purchase, etc. So if you buy three bras at 35.00 and get $50 off, that's pretty good. Sign up for their mailings, it is well worth it.

I buy mine at Lane Bryant, as well. However, I have purchased one lately from Catherine's. It is one for summer and I haven't worn it yet.

Anyone else looking to have a reduction after the weight loss?

I want to due to back pain and such. A C size sounds wonderful. Heck, a B size sounds wonderful to me.

The physician that did my first appointment about a reduction told me that I have no fat tissue in my breasts, therefore when I lose weight, I will not lose boobs.

I guess they will just keep sagging till all the weight is gone. lol

Lane Bryant last lots longer than anything I have ever worn.

I only have Bcup boobs...

After I reach goal, I'm gonna go out and get me some nice Ccups!

You might get them through weight loss...I went from a DD to a DDD/F.

I buy mine from Catherines and have no problems with them. But I can say that I look forward to the day when I don't have to go to specials stores to a bra and when I can start wearing some of the cute/sexy ones that I have never been able to wear.

Search for the brand Aviana. they were designed for a plus size woman. I got mine about 5 years ago and they are holding up (pardon the oun) amazingly well. I machine wash and dry, and they still have umph. (I am a 48I)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
