Are you looking for the BariatricPal Store? Go now!

A VERY strange (possibly offensive) question. ***read at your own risk...***

I am glad you asked this question, because I am also not a spitter, and DH is wondering when we can return to our activities. How long did you all wait after surgery to get physical?

And to the original poster, IT never really goes down that smoothly, just keep the drink next to you to dilute the "protein" as soon as you swallow it.

Okay, well, I'm almost done losing all my weight... I lost 65 and I look and feel great.

Here's the thing. I've let all the saline leak out of my band (I don't need it, the band is PLENTY of restriction for me... I'm one of the lucky few)... not a lot gets stuck, and I can't eat a lot in one sitting, either. It's nice.... like...

...I can't eat bread, Pasta, carrots or... ummm... well, when my fiancee and I are... physical... orally... and I... swallow... it gets stuck a little bit and I have to drink pineapple juice afterwards and work through it. What the heck is this?? It's freaking weird and a little gross!

(by the way... just so no one thinks I'm a slut... that's as far as I go until we're married, so, I'm not that bad.)

Don't judge, just tell me if it's ever happened to you and/or what the heck??!?

Here's a thought: Your fiance could help you out here by drinking more Water. If he stays well hydrated it would probably thin out his bodily fluids plus it would be a health benefit to him.

actually- if HE drinks the pineapple juice it will make "it" taste sweeter

his diet can definately affect the taste and consistency of the "stuff"

maybe it is the time you are doin it cuz your band might be tighter then- like I am always tighter in the morning

good luck

OMG!! This is so funny! I actually wondered the same thing. Afraid to try it. Thank you for having the "balls" to even post the thread!!! Hehe

Does anyone care if I move this thread to the powder Room Gone Wild? It's a topic that I think belongs there.

This has been discussed there already, so I don't think you should in any way be embarrassed. There have been plenty of gals that have wondered about that same thing.

I think this is definitely a conversation for the powder Room.

As for the poster, I think it is a matter of what is comfortable and what is not. If you have trouble, try having your fiance up is Water intake. If it still causes problems, then discuss an alternate ending.

The "protein" in it is always one of my husbands "selling" points when he's trying to persuade me.........

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
