hehehe! Dont worry those pretzels are long down the drain. Glad the brats are gone too, they tried to get me at 711 yesterday!!!! it's like they keep going to my stores on purpose!! Starbucks was just to far when they went there lol.

No info on the job yet, I will follow up tomorrow, but they DID call my references?? So I assume they are putting an offer together?

I posted Brianna's pics on Facebook if you get a chance chck them out everyone!

Ok, I discoverd another non-weigh loss advantage to having the band today. I forgot my lunch at home so I had to buy from our cafeteria. I spent $4.29 for grilled chicken, veggies and a little fruit. Before, when I bought lunch in the cafeteria it was at least double that if not more. So I am thinking that the money saved can go to buying lots of clothes and shoes!

Pammie, thanks so much for the directions and warning about the Elk Grove group. I remembered that I know a woman in Sacramento that I met at the obesity help luncheon in January. She had her RNY with Dr. Park last year. I shot her an email this morning and we're going to have dinner and go to the meeting together.

I love seeing all these great pics!

Thanks, Pat!!!

I, too, feel bad that Tina doesn't post anymore as she IS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL THREAD STARTERS! We SHOULD be able to post all of it. I've spoken to Tina and she's great - she got a fill at the fill center and their outlook on the whole thing better suits her - and probably myslef too. I'm a bit negative on some of the Kaiser staff in the way that they treat me as a "one size fits all" and I don't know about Ya'll but I've never been able to fit into a "one size fits all" Never been my size.

I think we all have some type of eating disorder or we wouldn't have the weight problems that we have - Most of us eat out of emotional issues and this is suppose to be a support group. If the way kaiser was/is treating Tina was/is an emotion problem for her then I'd rather her come here and vent then eat - kinda like a sponser in AA.

My thought is that if we don't like it or can't offer any contructive insight or help then we can skip over it - not read it and move on. I like the People that persist until a solution is found or the problem solves itself - it proves they're not quitters and won't give up.

Alot of the old timers that got me thru this are greatly needed on here for guidence. Nicole, Tina, Riley, Donna & Christine were a godsend for me. How will you know if you're stuck or if it's just your port hurting unless you have somebody to turn to that has gone thru it before.

My whole thing is Tina CHOOSE to stop posting here, no one forced her to leave, so because a few people got tired of listening to her not very positive post every day and told her to tone them back she leaves? gimme a break.

I am not trying to be a bit*h here but thats just how I see it. Personally I like not having to read how HORRIBLE kaiser is because she cant get a fill....*shrugs*.....yes we can choose to "skip over" the post, but when there is 20 million per page, it gets a little tired when all you want to do is read how everyone is handling their band, how to eat, etc.

But why can't we say something negative about Kaiser if that is what we are going through? This isn't a Kaiser sponsored web forum. Kaiser is not perfect by any means. If you notice hardly any of the original members of this thread post anymore. I have also thought of leaving as I don't feel all of the strugglers/slow losers are given much support. It seems to depend on who the poster is - if one person posts they eat all kinds of food that are not allowed especially in the first six weeks after surgery - someone will post for them to try harder - but if a different poster posts the same thing - they get ragged on for it.

If I post that things change the further out you get from surgery - someone posts we all have to follow the rules and if we do everything will work out and the weight will come off. That is a cookie cutter response - everyone is different and what works for one doesn't work for the other and just because all of the weight doesn't drop off doesn't mean the person isn't following the plan. I don't feel support with that type of response.

I don't think Tina left because she thought she didn't need our support - I think it was the tone it was taking.

Saying all this - I don't read all of the posts - I skip some people's posts as it is always the same thing - I ate the wrong things but I'll be better tomorrow - yet no one rags on that same type of post over and over.

This is a public forum and anyone is free to say whatever they want - either read it or don't read it.

I am not saying any of this to single anyone out or point fingers.

This isn't a just a lapband support group anymore either Tamra.

So go ahead and bash me if you want - won't hurt my feelings as I am about through with this anyway.

oooohhh plus I found one down side to losing weight, my wedding ring needs to be downsized again :o or I'm gona lose it! And then the hubby will kill me lol!

Thanks Tam-Tam! it's bad today and I suppose it doesn't help that i am staring @ the computer screen but I'm toggling back & forth with my home work that needs to get done.
