Analynn - Can you order Soup? Hot/Sour soup is the best way to go, very low cal and fat. I ate it alot on Weight Watchers. AVOID THE DIM SUM!! that or not even go?

Good Morning Everyone!

Thanks for the well wishes for my baby girl. She is doing much better. The cough is not as bad and she has her appetite back.

I am in shock that the scale for a second day in a row says 198.2lbs... I need to get to 195lbs. That is my mini-goal. I guess it's time I set another goal.

Analynn-do they have lettuce wraps?

Have a great day.

I had to quit going out to eat with friends for awhile. To hard. Even salad cause it is to hard to figure out all the extras that get put in.........so better to eat at home or bring my own stuff for awhile until I get restriction back. But when I have good restriction resterants don't interest me cause I don't want to pay for a few bites........

Better to eat at home and do social things that don't involve food. Anyone notice that every does social things around food???

Coco, I'm so happy to read that you got your color back and you're up and about.

Big Question - as many responses as possible.

Day before surgery - MoM.

1. How long did it take the stuff to "work"?

2. Did you stay home that day?

3. Could you have been at work that day?

4. Could you have been in your car driving around all afternoon?

I'm trying to figure out my work day next Tuesday. Thank you all for helping me figure this out. I need to be mobile if possible.

Hi Lee...many people react differently to MOM...however, as 'inconsistent' it is in diff people...in can 'activate' within 2 hrs...best to be at home, cause when it is effective...there is no stoppin it...sorry tmi, but very quick when it works!!! Good to see u prepping well!

Lee - Feel better soon cuz you can't be sick for surgery - I was home all day the day before suregery and the MOM didn't seem to do a whole lot - I did go shopping and had no problems. I didn't really hit the potty till later afternoon but nothing so bad that you can't go to work as long as you have access to the bathroom.

Reggie - any news from your PCP?

Pat - you need to slow down my sista! All work and no play leaves a gal fluffy! Not to mention we are suppose to work to live not live to work!

Tina - Two days down and the rest of our lives to go hahaha. Gotta has you my veteran - do you ever feel the food pass thru your band? That happened to me today and it hurt like heck. I felt it go ALL the way down and hit the bottom.

Tamra - you got this! puree, puree & puree - I didn't do a whole lot of that though. Only Soups & chilli.

Coco - so glad ur tootin. Rambo has been rough on me today - I'm thinkin you got Rocky. Rambo won't really let me eat nothin - oh but my string cheese this morning wasn't too bad

Lee-gear up girl!!! Get ready it's your turn.

As for me the MOM did the following:

1. Didn't work until the day after the surgery and the squirts/runs/blowouts. Sorry for the TMI

2. Nope, I didn't stay home all day. Ran errands, close to home tho

3. Yes, I could have worked

4. Yes, could have been driving around.

Like Donna said, everyone's body works differently. It takes alot to get me going.

Reggie-PM me your telephone number.

Candra-Give me your plate!! LOL

Tamra-way to go on the food and pureed meals, because I pureed with my mouth. Don't be like me. I tend to stick to broth Soups or plain salads with grilled chicken when I go out. Also, I always ask for my Salad Dressing on the side so I can control how much of it I eat.

WHen I am to tight the food going through HURTS or plain gets stuck.

RIght now I can feel it go down but don't really hurt. Just bread or brocolli or eggs......veggie meat. The Proteins I can feel slow down and go through. But it doesn't hurt right now :-) eggs feel me up fast right now. Trying to stay away from the breads and use wheat thins to make mini sandwhiches. Lots of veggies when I am hungry........I ate a whole thing of peas last night when I got hungry but only 240 cals so not to bad for a huge bowl :-)

CANDRA when I am at 5ccs some things just won't stay down. I give up rather than deal with them. Bread and brocolli are out. Tortilla's........and a few other things. I thought I wasn't chewing well and tried to do better. But honestly if it hurts going down I would probably just give it up. I don't think it should hurt going down just you should feel the band. I can't wait to get back to that point.

Right now it is the protiens that are working for me. Anything else I get to hungry. IF I get crazy hungry I steam a thing of peas and eat it all..........;-) I also have the sugar free puddings but I am sorta tired of them. I used them pre op when I was craving sweet but I got burned out on them.......They have a weird aftertaste but it does work for something sweet...........I still have the 10 cal jellos I use for sweet too............I like the lime and raspberrie........but I much prefer hot to cold...........pre op I like cold better. Hot feels good on my band......cold is just weird. Ice is the worse now. I hate it. Anything warm.........skinny vanilla latte........feels so good on the band.

I miss my oatmeal a whole lot though. I was told no more. Ahh I miss my oatmeal.........

But my stomach bloat is going down so I know I am losing...........afraid to weight yet cause I don't want bad news!!

RIght now I can eat ANYTHING I want. Just the things the bother me when I have restriction slow way down going through right now.........I also found last week that scrambled eggs work to keep me full and they can't go past the band very fast. bread is uncomfortable unless I go really slow. But I am not suppose to have it anyway........I PB once last week on a darn bite of waffle but that was after two scrambled eggs. I wanted a darn test and it didn't work.......but I am sorta getting used to freedom and it will be bittersweet when I go back to countraband food items which is a reason I need to get back to restriction.............

B: 1/4 cup of Protien special K

L: Subway 6 inch veggie sand 230 (when I have restriction this is TOTALY out)

D: ?????? Peas and veggie meat!!! :-P

Hey everyone!

Back from San Leandro, I took my bf to his job interview, send good vibes!! Its for my bestfriends dad, so I think he landed it, just a small commute.

So here I am today, almost 64 oz Water, havent cheated once!

Breakfast - 1/2 cup black bean Soup from Trader Joes

Lunch - Wendy's baked potato with the reduced fat sourc ream and butter it came with. I couldn't find a KFC local and I was starving! I didnt get a big potato, so I doubt it was more then a cup.

Dinner - I have a roast in the crock pot I am gonna puree up with some broth. I have found that me and pureed chicken are not friends.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
