Kaiser Richmond Pre-op

I got the jeans on ebay - don't want to spend alot of money because I hope I won't be in a 14 for long LOL so I just put in jeans in the search and when it pops up I chose size 14 & used. $30 including shipping for two pairs

We're going to Hawaii in december for with my boyfriend's family. I want to have clothes to wear there, (shorts etc) but I don't know what size I'll be! I was thinking about getting stuff on clearance since it's the end of summer, but I've got no clue how many various sizes I should buy. I thought of getting something in each size down, like get 22s, 20s and 18s. I doubt I'd be a 16 in Dec.. but who knows!

I finally finished my paper! I didn't get to bed until 2:30 which meant 3 hours of sleep. But I didn't even get that! I was sucking down so much Water last night I couldn't even sleep 3 hours without having to get up! Ugh. But I managed to get through my day! I'm so going to bed early tonight!

Good morning ladies!

Query me this: A week ago tomorrow I had a fill. It was a good fill. I have just the right amount of restriction. I am eating about 900 calories a day and power-walking off about 700 of those.

How in heaven's name have I GAINED 3 lbs. since last Friday morning?!?!?!?!!

Maybe your body wants more food? ?? Could that be it?

I had that happen but my issue was Fluid intake...

ALSO the reason i think it could be lack of calories, is you are working out a LOT....

Hmmm youd think if you work out more then you eat youd loose..... interesting...

Meal yesterday:

I DID REALLLLLY GOOD:)

B:1 cup Watermelon yummmmm

L:1/2 piece of that home made pizza

D: 1.5 oz of pork loin from the crock pot.

And it musta worked cause the scale shows i lost all my Water weight plus 2 lbs:D

I am also thinking if im not in my sweet spot im RIGHT there.. because, iwas reading the chart i forget who posted... but the only thing on it that i didnt agree with was the weight loss because of my plateu, but if i start loosing again, i can agree with it. In the red zone i go occasionally wheni eat to fast or wrong density of food... ie.. right now i just had a bite of some eggs mike made, and im stopped... im not slimming or pbing, but you know i can feel it going down. So much that im debating on taking another bite...

Now i am having a HUGE problem. My balding is Getting worse! Seriously there is no denying it,people have even commented that im balding what in earth do i do! I am thinking of emailing dr baggs and asking him. Because this is getting embarrasing im 24 with balding going on:( Ive been reading to take prenatals?? whats your thoughts?

Well I have been kind of sucking on my Fluid intake, and it could be almost TOM because I have been a raving beotch for the last 2 days! I am not feeling much better this morning either, and I always feel better a few hours before I start. So I did 30 oz. as I did my walk this morning, and have already pee'd 3 times this AM maybe that's it. Also caloriecount.com says I was 240% of my RDA for sodium yesterday . . . .

Good morning ladies!

Well my slip up caused me a 2 lb gain this morning :drool: no more of that!! I felt sick, tired, sluggish, it was HORRIBLE!! I wanted to go and just throw up...LOL....

I hope not!

I have a 64 oz water bottle I got @ the American Canyon Walmart for $2.50, it's so cute! my goal is to drink it all before the end of work, and I have done really well, except the past 2 days.

Well, no more stepping on the scale at home until 8/25 (every pay day). I am finding it hurting me when I dont see the loss, so I will stay using Kaisers. :drool:

Hey Nicole - did i read a while back that you have Alopecia? I know another gal that has that and she is completely bald! doesn't even have eyebrows - she wears the cutest human hair wigs and has her eyebrows tatoo'd (sp?) on. Anyway it is important to find out the cause because there are so many different causes - once you know the cause you can determine a treatment. If you do, in fact, have Alopecia, it's not a matter of Protein intake or anything like that.

Riley - there is no way you gained weight! has to be the Water retention!

Tamra - two lbs isn't anything to worry about - it will be right back off ASAP - keep in mind that when you do lower your calorie intake your metabolism slows down a bit that's why it's so easy to regain the weight and then some. If you overdo it with the food you gotta speed up that metabolism and work it off!

Candra, how did the dr find out the issue..?? My dr is quite lazy on it

and ive been telling her for years about it, i litterally loose like 10 strands every time i put my hair in a pony tail.. yesterday i put it up 4 times.....

It has been going on for a LONG time, and now you can see it, and it's soo embarrassing.

What did your friend do.. Whats weired is a lot of people say buy the special shampoos i do i spend 50 bucks on mine, no help, the sprays the scrubs everything... i tried taking prentatls nope no help, even when i was prego.

It is soo frustrating.:drool:

So today i havent been able to really eat. I had the egg bite, and well a bite of watermelon.. was going down just painful then auds dumped my eggs everywhere.. stress hit me and panic and well.. i was then visiting the bathroom:( so i stoped eating.. just drinking water..

Dude I didn't even think about that LOL. I have YET to workout I am so lazy!! and the 24 in Martinez charges me $29.99/mo...LOL...you would think that would make me go! :drool:

Nicole - there is something on it in the MERC manual. There are different causes like scarring which you really can't do anything about so she's just bald and that's that. Since you do have hair, I doubt that's they cause of your symptoms. I believe Alopecia is considered an autoimune disease - your body is attacking itself, particularly the hair folicles. Have you had the diagnosis confirmed? then there are some types of Alopecia (just basically means balding) where the regrowth cycle is very very slow! there are ways to help stimulate that growth but I have no idea what it is. You should try to see a specialist - maybe a dermatologist.

      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

        Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

        Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

        I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

        I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

        BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
