:sad_smile:Hi my name is Gabby, I was banded on Nov 1, 07 by Dr. Nazarian in Ca. I was loosing about 7-9 lbs per month for the first three months. After February 08 I would get filled and loose complete restriction after 2 weeks. I finally realized that there could be a leak somewhere. I was supposed to have a flouroscopy done with contrast to see where the leak was, but ended up getting a 5cc fill that left me unable to eat or drink. I feel like crap and the worst part of this is that I cant get saline out because the doctor is able to inject, but unable to draw saline back. Has anyone been through this and if you have, What do I do?

Hi ,

People get unfilled all the time if they are to tight.

I don't understand why your Dr is unable to take some out.

I think you should call around to other fill Dr s and ask them about this.

Also I have a 10 cc band and my Dr told me that 4ccs should be the max amount of fill it should hold. I have 2 1/2 ccs and am pretty tight. So I think you are way over filled. Good luck to you.

He may not be able to pull it back because the tube is kinked, but if you can not eat or drink at all he has to get it out even if surgery is the only option. As to the fill amount I have 4.5 and only tight in the am at night I can eat alot,A 10 cc band holds 10cc's a 10cm band holds 4cc they are not the same band.

Hello,

I looked in my wallet at my lapband card and sure enough I do have a 10cm band not a 10 cc band.

Thanks for the info

I had no idea but now I do.

Thank you:thumbup:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
