Anybody use a Weight/diet tracker App on their iphone or ipod touch?

Recommended Posts

I use Gyminee and I really like it. I also want to track blood glucose and heart rate and a few other things, so I can customise those in my BodyTracker section, along with weight, etc.

It has a great food database and an ability to create 'recipes'of commonly eaten meals. For example, I eat the same Breakfast on the weekends, so I created one recipe called "Saturday Breakfast" and all I need to do is enter that once.

It isn't an actuall "app" yet, but it does live on my iPhone desktop and one click gets me in ,and it is fast and easy to use.

I have an iphone and use Lose it! also. It's a great program and I don't have to wait until I get home to log into the internet to log my food. You can customize exercises and track your weight. It also have tons of food built into the program. Long lists of supermarket and restaurant food which makes it easy to keep track. And best of all - it's free!

I use Daily Plate via the web and my iPhone. The application is free and if you have a login on the web just use that on the iPhone and it will automatically sync your information to the iPhone. If you want this application and cannot find it on iTunes just search using livestrong. DH suggested I try Lose It instead he likes this one better.

I just downloaded Lose it! and played around with it. It looks very easy to use. I'm excited to start using it. Thanks for mentioning this app - I love that it's free!

I use Lose It! and I love it. It's very easy to use and enter custom foods and exercises. I did change my starting weight in the program so I could adjust my daily budget of calories, though... it had me budgeted at almost 1200, and I wanted to keep it at 1000. (although I'm pretty obsessed with staying 200 calories under budget every day for some reason) Anyways, I love having it with me all the time, being able to see how many calories I have left in the day anywhere I'm at. Good luck!

You can change your daily goal and keep your weight at the actual weight. Mine had me at 1500 calories and I changed it to 1200.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
