I'm tight in the mornings so only coffee for me. By lunchtime I can eat but only 1/4 cup and then I stop because any more will cause discomfort and/or I'm afraid it might because it did before. The same at dinner. The problem is that I'm not satisfied with 1/4 cup; often I still feel hungry. Is this the way it's supposed to be?

Try drinking little more Water in between your meals. You may still be tight due to only losing 20lbs. The more wt you lose the looser your silicone pouches will be inside your band.So as time goes on you will have less restriction, after each fill. lose more wt and the silicone is loose once again and the same over and over until there is no fat in your stomach wall and the band keeps you tight all the time. I have had 6 fills 9 months out. only 1.5cc or .5 each fill, so slowly you keep putting only small amounts in and keeping your Protein up. That is why i like getting that Protein Shake in the am, 6 am, I was tight and after getting on the treadmill first thing water even gurgled. I could feel it loosen as the day went on and at dinner I could probably eat a cup of food. I have lost 62 lbs. Just remember get the protein in, exercise and repeat. Moveing your body is the name of the game. Cardio sheds lbs faster. Normally no free wts until after 6 weeks post op. I now get a "full" feeling I have not have in a long time, I cut my meals at 30minutes max, cut my food tiny, tiny and chew ,chew and chew some more. Good luck keep it going.

It sounds rather tight to me, but I agree, there's probably not much harm in waiting till it loosens, at your stage you'll lose weight pretty fast and before you know it it will be more manageable.

If you're really suffering hunger, perhaps eat a bit more often?

Thanks. I was thinking maybe adding a snack between lunch and dinner will help.

Feeling satisfied has alot to do with making sure that you are taking the right Vitamins. You can be full all of the time but if you are not taking the right vitamins for you, your body will never feel satisfied.

You know, my doctor says if you're physically hungry it means you need to eat. So if there's a nice protein-first snack that will help you make it from lunch to dinner you should do it. My mornings are easy but the evenings are hard and my nutritionist actually requires Snacks as a way to keep bood sugar level and eating in control.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
