I am on day 6 of my pre-op diet. I started on the November 7th. 10 days of low carb slimfast and Clear Liquids only. I envy some of the people on here that get to eat a lean cuisine for dinner :D But on the bright side I only have 4 more days until surgery (Nov 17th!) and I have lost 7 lbs since I started the diet.

Congrats!!!! :D

Thanks! I just started panicking, because I only have four and a half days before my pre-op diet starts. I've been eating low refined carbs and having a lot of Protein Drinks as replacement meals, just to ease myself into it. But, now I feel like eating everything in sight! I feel like having a Diet Coke, too! ARRRRGGGHHH!!!!

Eleven more days until band day! Pre op visit with my surgeon went well today. Stress test and echo in the AM. So everything is coming together. I am actually getting excited. Hubby is wonderful and very supportive. My employer was not happy because of the upcoming Holidays and staffing issues. I will be off until the week after Christmas due to the type of work I do. Oh well, I never miss work and I have Short Term Disability to cover so I am going to enjoy.

Looks like a lot of us will be thankful for no turkey on the 27th. I am trying to set things up in my business so they will leave me alone post surg for a week or so. It will be hard without telling them. I think will tell them they can email me but not to call. Where do they have internet but no phones?

Let me know when you find someplace without phones and with internet!!! But..when I last visited my family in Southern Indiana my cell phone would not work unless I walked to the top of a hill and internet was only dial up!!! That may be as close as you get.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
