I just wanted to say think you to all the others who have posted after they were banded. I read this forum daily while trying to make the decision to have the band or not. I did not get a lot of information from my surgeon, and most of what I have learned has come from this web site of books recommended by the people on here. I did wonderful because I took the advise of the some of the posters that made good suggestions and it made a big difference in my recovery and the lady who had hers done right before me on the same day. Please don't stop helping others like you have helped me.

Once again, Thank You to Everyone and the people who started this web site.

:)

Sherry, I am glad everything went well for you.

I have to agree, LBT is a fabulous site. I remember how wonderful it was when I was first thinking about the band to know I could come here and talk to people who understood where I was coming from and who were already experienced with the band. It truly makes a world of difference and we have a wonderful community of people here.

Sherry and Susan, I have to agree with you both. I love this site and it has taught me so much, good and bad. It is a fantastic resource for all of us, from brand new, looking into it to banded for years.

Sherry, glad you're doing so well! I have to say I've been much more confident in my decision and feel so much more prepared than I would have otherwise. I was NOT scared or nervous the day of surgery! Shocking, I know! Part of the reason is because of this site. I knew what to expect, not having EVER had major surgery before. The other, large, part is my faith in GOD and knowing HE was looking out for me. Best wishes to you on your continued journey!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
