Ya know what I didn't really either till I hit 7 cc's, that is when wow I really started to think close to sweet spot. Then a month later went in and got another cc and boy way too tight so had .5 removed.

Because I had removed after only 1 day didn't need a complete unfil but now hungry again. I think we just have to keep tweaking till we get to the right spot. Hang in there though you doing great!

I'm so sorry that everything isn't working out for you. Are they putting enough saline in your band to give you restriction? Also what are you eating and have you been exercising? Maybe the band isn't the best option for you. You might want to look into the gastric sleeve. Sorry.

My doctor said he had one girl who was just like you, did all that she was supposed to and only lost 20 lbs her first year, never felt any restriction, then came back with a vengeance after she finnally hit her sweet spot, and after the second year had lost another 120lbs, so don't be discouraged by the slow weight loss stick with it it will come.!

Ebeth, don't give up. I know it is frustrating while going through it, but you are probably really close to good restriction. When I had 6.5 cc's in I was starting to really worry that I was getting too close to full and I was going to be a miserable failure. but now, at 7.2 (and 3 fills/unfills to get me to that place) I'm feeling much more like this was a good idea.

So be patient and keep going strong. Don't lose faith. This time in your band life is the toughest. Keep making those changes that are going to make you successful, eating in the right order, drinking all your liquids, exercise, and chew chew chew. Take this time to really learn the amounts of cals, Protein, and such in food, by logging everything.

I'll be looking for good stuff from you in the future. You will not let me down, I'm sure!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
