I started out taking the Centrium multi vitamens but they really upset my stomach. So my Dr told me to try liquid multi and they work so much better!

So if the solid vitamens mess you up try the liquid!

Just my 10 cents!

My doc is not a believer in taking supplements of any kind; proper nutrition through proper eating. HOWEVER, given that sometimes I just know I am not getting enough of the 'good stuff' because I have so little in the way of fruit (not veg), I take a no-name daily Multi-Vitamin.< /p>

I take the Centrum Children's chewable and my daughter and I both agree they are the worst thing we have ever tasted. So, as soon as this bottle is empty, I am going back to Flinstone's Chewables...much better.

I take a liquid Vitamin with minerals called IntraMax. It has over 415 essential nutrients and is naturally rich in carbon, oxygen and fulvic acid. It's expensive, but worth it to me and it's peach/mango flavor and taste really good. One bottle will last you 1 month. Do a google search on IntraMax and most will ship it to you free. If you don't want to take this, the only other vitamin I recommend are Whole food Vitamins.< /p>

I'm taking Walgreen's High Potency A thru Z chewable for adults (it's a generic of Centrum) and two Tums sugar-free for Calcium. I started off with Flintstone's chewables, but this adult formula has a much higher percentage and number of Vitamins and minerals. I also like the taste better.

Im new here so just wanted to share Ok so I have been with Bariatric Advantage now for about 2 years, great company no complaints, but I ran into Celebrate bariatric one day as I was surfing the net, I wanted to do more research as their flavors seem interesting, but here is what I found out, BA has 600 Mg and celebrate has 0 MG of Calcium. I NEED MY CALCIUM, anyways I really love the watermelon flavor and I just found out from one of their reps that they are coming out with a new flavor berry. I LOVE BERRY. Just my 2 cents.

Taking Vitamins especially after surgery should not be taken lightly, and the right vitamins should always be considered. Flintstones, Centrum are good but for the general public. One should always take the vitamins that are made for the bariatric community. Always theres choices out there my most favorite is on this site Bariatric Advantage - Nutritional supplements, Vitamins, Proteins, and Help for Gastric Bypass, Distal, Lap Band, Realize, Stomaphyx and Duodenal Switch Surgery Patients

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
