Tricare Denial..REVERSED!!

Recommended Posts

I mentioned it before, but I would highly recommend little baby spoons. I am used to eating very fast and taking big bites, and this helps me out tremendously!

I agree with that 100%. You can get a pack of spoons and forks (8 piece) at Walmarts for a couple bucks. It is "throwaway". I use it all the time, the plastic is pretty durable, and just the right size!!! Other than restraunts, I have not used "adult sized" silverware (or anything metal  LOL) in 4 months!!!!!..

They had a 5 pack of color tipped ones at Walmart. They match my Magic Bullet mugs...I'm such a girl!

WTG Maggie on your surgery date. Trust me..I know it seems like a long time but it will fly by. Take this time to mental prepare and "mourn" the fried mozzerella stix, the cheese dips and the Carmel Machiotto Cappuccinos. It will be easier post op!

Karina, after all of this, your blood pressure should be sky high! So, after 90 days don't you have to resubmit everything? If they deny it, then what?

Great question. I have no idea, I think after this THAT'S it, nothenig else. I will have to deal with it.It really sucks they are taking so long they could just say NO so I can sleep again. The only day of the week I can relax it's saturday because I know they wil not be making any decision. From mon-fri I stress and call them all the time. On sunday I'm alreday waiting for their decision maybe on monday.

Ya, just two weeks, but it seems so long. But I guess after it took me this long to get to this point I should'nt complain. I have to go do an ekg, chest xray and blood work tomorrow for preop.

sharmon, why did you have to pay the $700.00? I'm hoping I end up paying nothing??????? Howabout the rest of you, did you have to pay anything?

Jwrn, hopefully they will surprise you with an approval. Just get you out of your misery and let you know. Fingers are crossed.

I did my EKG, chest x-ray, and bloodwork last week. Today I had my pre-op physical and tmw I go have my post-op nutrition class. Weeeee! The chest x-ray and the bloodwork were fine (of course), but the EKG sucked. I think everyone at Barquist saw my boobs. The girl who was doing it couldn't get one of the leads to read, so she had to call in the guy who worked with her, who had to bring in a female chaperone with him, then he couldn't get it, so they called in some doctor, who got it on the first try. Good thing I've hd a kid and all my modesty was left on the delivery table. :tongue2:

Thanks! We have to get up at 4:30am to be there on time and I had some stuff to do before I went to bed. And, now I have decided to just stay up. I figure I will get lots of rest tomorrow.

I'm tired. I'll let you guys know how it went tomorrow.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
