Hello! My surgery is scheduled for November 6th. I had my last appointment before my surgery this morning. I've managed to lose 7 lbs. over the last couple of weeks. I'm hoping to lose more before the surgery.

Hi Capricorn32: I hope you remember me. We wrote a few times. I see you don't have your "Notorious Novembers" image in your signature. Did you get my message about how to do it? If not...or if the instructions weren't clear...I am certainly still willing to help you. Hope you are well!

At last I can join you all. I wasn't sure if I would be a November or December, so I've just been lurking. My surgery date is November 13, and I've already been on a pre-op diet since my consultation last Saturday. I'm so excited.

Looking forward to getting to know you all,

Karen

Good morning fellow Notorious Novembers!:biggrin::blush::biggrin:

I've been scheduled for my surgery on Monday, November 17th! I am so blessed - I had previously been approved for vacation the week of Thanksgiving, and with my surgery scheduled for November 17th, that means I'll have two weeks of recovery time! :w00t:

I'm so excited! I started this process in August, completed the nutritionist consult and the psych consult in September, and attended a info session in October. I was hoping to be banded in October, but this works out well because of the timing.

I'm happy to finally have a date and to introduce myself to the rest of the Notorious Novembers! :w00t:

Hey Jes I am also in the Lansing area! Who is doing your surgery?

I'm going with Dr. Yenemula at Sparrow. Are you going through Ingham?

Hi everyone! I'll be joining the Notorious Novembers on the 19th and I can't wait! After having my original date in September cancelled due to insurance problems, I was thrilled to get my UHC approval last Monday and a firm surgery date later that day.....best of luck to ALL OF US!!!:) (I may need instructions on the sparkly label thing!)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
