  1. are the clothes still available??? Could you let me know how much it would cost to ship them to Michigan?? Thanks so much Angela
  2. Hi I have experienced a few of the same experiences as you. I had my surgery in november of 08 I healed with no problems!!! I then went in to get a fill and they could never seem to be able to so then we went in for a xray and my port had flipped so i had another surgery in april of 09 to have that fixed well I still have not healed. My open spot has gotten much smaller has yours? There is no infection for me either. I am now packing the wound myself every night and my surgeons say that it is getting smaller but my patience is running out! Oh by the way i have the lap band and I don't believe that i am allergic to the port because I healed very easily the first time so i just don't know what is going to happen next! thanks for listening to me I hope things go well for you keep me updated Angela
  3. My port flipped and they found it on a xray. My surgeon had tried and tried to give me a fill with no luck so that is why we went for the xray. I will tell you that I had no pain when it flipped I didn't know that it happend. I have since had the surgery to fix the port. Let me know if you have any other questions? Good luck Angela
  4. Every surgeon is different but most will not do a fill till about 6 weeks after surgery.
  5. Hi I am a dietitian also. Did you have the surgery? If so when, and how has it gone for you? Thanks a bunch
  6. Hi everyone I was banded on 11/10 and am doing well! I had a herina repair with my band and I think that the herina was harder to deal with then the band. Well my question is I am feeling back to my old self and I was cleaning and bent over and had a severe pain right where the port is, I feel ok now but the area still seems sore. Has anyone else had this happen to them and is this always going to happen thanks so much for your time Angela
  7. Hey Jes I am also in the Lansing area! Who is doing your surgery?
  8. Hi also from the lansing area who are you going to?
  9. Hi All!! I just got my date and it is Nov 10th!!! I am a little nervous about the pre op diet. Otherwise I am thrilled. I am getting it done in Lansing Mi with Dr. Lane. Thanks all good luck to you all.
  10. Victor Thanks for the info. I went to the info session and intake appoinment. I just started my classes. Were you happy with everything, Dr Lane does seem nice. No problems with surgery thanks again
  11. I am new to this, I just wanted to know if anyone had lap band done in the Lansing area, and how their experience was thanks a bunch!!!
  12. Thanks so much for writing back. That is so good to hear, I feel like some clients would rather talk to me about weight because they know that I can understand, but the stigma that goes with it is sometimes miserable, but at times i feel like I give myself the hardest time about my weight. Oh I would love to have her email address thanks so much, and are you happy you did it. Also your BMI was not over 40 so did you have so other risk factor because mine is just under 40. I don't know anyone that has had it done so I would love some feedback thanks again Angela
  13. Hi I am new to all of this! I have battled my weight my whole life. I have lost weight gained it lost it again i am just so tired of this!!! Through my years of dealing with my weight I decided to go back to school and get a degree in nutrition (it's so much fun to be a chubby dietitian) so as you can imagine I no what to do to lose weight I just have such a hard time doing it. If someone told me that there was a magic pill I would take it!! So what I want to know is this worth it! Does it work? I know the science behind it all, but does it really work! I work at one of the local hosptials and the surgeons are having an info meeting this week and I just wonder if I should go. I have not talked about this with anyone in my life (my husband, sisters, friends etc) I feel like my god if I can't lose the weight who can. Sorry to have rambled I just would really like some help thanks for you time. Angela
