Hi everyone I was banded on 11/10 and am doing well! I had a herina repair with my band and I think that the herina was harder to deal with then the band. Well my question is I am feeling back to my old self and I was cleaning and bent over and had a severe pain right where the port is, I feel ok now but the area still seems sore. Has anyone else had this happen to them and is this always going to happen thanks so much for your time Angela

I was banded in September, and I mostly only felt pain in my port area after sitting for long periods of time. Although my pants were loose, I still felt achy in the area. That lasted for about a month or so, at most. Now, I feel don't feel any pain at all.

I was banded in April '08. After maybe 2 months I suddenly had port pain. I asked my doc about it and he said 2 things - 1) STOP TOUCHING IT. and 2) Don't touch it. To help ease the pain in the moment they had me use a heating pad on low heat in the evenings. Worked like a charm.

I was touching it often enough my co-workers were all wondering what was going on. I think it was like a new toy or something. And as soon I stopped touching the port site all the time the pain went away.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
