Patience paid off.....now what?

Recommended Posts

I finally got my first fill at 2 months post-op. My surgeon moved from my state and I had to wait for the new one to get his state license. I thought it would never happen! Anyway, he put in 4cc's and told me that we would recheck in 4 weeks (my band is 14cc's). I felt restriction on the first day, but now I don't feel anything. I can tell when I don't chew well enough and food gets stuck, but I can eat as much as before. Has anyone experienced this after a fill? What did you do if anything?

I'm waiting on fill #2, the first fill did nothing. (2cc's in 10cc band)

I am trying to be patient, and not eat everything - just because I can. I am eating bigger portions than what I'm supposed to eat, but my food isn't junk, it is lean Protein, fruits and veggies.

Not drinking after I eat is hard.

I had the same experience with 4.6 in a 10 band. I was real careful the first few days then I could eat alot more. I have had this fill for 5 weeks. I am just trying to watch what I eat, I like not PB or sliming. That is my greatest fear. I have to say if I just stop eating after I'm suppose to I don't get hungry for quite a while. That the big issue for me I just have to stop. I have to say the weight loss is slower. But still going the right way and I don't have trouble with any foods. I wonder is that a good thing. LOL

I had the same experience-no change after the first fill. I could and was eating EVERYTHING! I tried to eat less but I was Hungry !!I had fill #2 on Aug 21 08 I did not do clear liquid after but I feel satisfied after eating. I lost 18 more pounds since 1st fill in June!!! My doc said dont worry everyone has to find "The right fill amount". My next fill Doc says I will go to the Hospital and do an xray to see just how much. Has anyone had that experience? Neway he says Iwill most likely be good after the next one apparently 3 is the magic #!! Someone tell me how they feel after fill #3

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
