recipes are tough as I just put it all together. I used all these ingredients and added no oil. I was very yummy and full of Protein. I chew this well and have no trouble with the Beans.

2 Packages of Ground Turkey

1 large can of diced tomatoes

1 large can of pureed tomatoes

1 can of Tomato paste

1 diced onion

mucho garlic

1 diced pepper

chopped mushrooms

1 can of kidney Beans

1 can of chick peas

1 can of white kidney beans

3 tablespoons of chili spices

2 tablespoons of oregano

2 tablespoons of basil

1 teaspoon of pepper

2 tablespoons of splenda

I cook the meat in a non-stick pan until crisp with half the chili and pepper then add chopped garlic, onion, mushrooms, and peppers. When soft add the remaining ingredients. Remember to rinse the beans. Add a little Water if it is too thick. Cook covered for several hours. Freeze a bunch up for some tasty dinners. I have not had the chance to put into FitDay.com yet to get the stats....

I am really focusing on getting the Protein in my diet. I discovered ground flax seeds at Cosco. 2 table spoons gives 4g of protein for 90 calories. You can add this to your protein shakes, chili, yogurt.....Take care all...Kim:tt2:

Princess, your chili recipe reminded me of some I made preop. All I used was one can of black beans, undrained, 1 lbs of ground turkey breast, and one can of those stewed tomatoes-Mexican style and undrained. Then I got one of those low sodium chili mixes like Lawry's or McCormicks in the little package. I basically followed the instructions on the back of the package and it was soooooo good. And very easy. I can't wait to have it again in a couple of weeks.

It is chock-full of protein and the tomatoes are good for source of potassium, which I have been lacking. I can tell because I'm prone to leg cramps and usually eat a banana, but I can't have bananas now. Yummy! You made me so hungry. LOL!

Hi,

I am glad I am not the only one scared to try food! I am only 3 days post op and on liquids, but am scared at the thought of getting stuck, sick, etc.... I will have to face facts eventually. My doc recommended eggs and I am surprised to see some of us have a problem. The ideas I get from this site are great!:P

I am starting my 3rd week after banding, eating cottage cheese, and pureed fruits, yogurt, and smooth Soups. Also skim milk ricotta cheese. I also have a tbs. of parm cheese in my Tomato Soup with Italian spices and it tastes like spaghetti sauce, yummy, I may mix some with the ricotta cheese and put in small half cup containers for lunches. I won't have real "solid food for 3 more weeks. I move into the scrambled eggs and other mushy s two weeks.

I was 211 the day I went in for surgery, I am 204 now. I weighted 224 the day after surgery so.......I lost the gas and Water weight and a few pounds. I am happy to lose 2-3 lbs. per week it's much healthier that way. I am not filled yet so I do have to watch everything even though I am not really hungry.

good luck

Pati

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
