When did Pregnancy/Band sypmtoms start???

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I have been reading several posts and hear a lot about women that have had to unfill becasue of pregnancy. I may be pregnant and am wondering when did the "extra" tightness start. I have read a few posts from ladies that are only about 5-6 weeks, but no one says when the issues first began. Help, I need info! :)

I can't share from personal experience but would like to know the answer to this one as well. My husband and I are interested in having a baby next year.

Nothing yet....I can pretty much eat whatever I want. I don't think you'll find a direct answer on this though. We're all different and started with different fill levels. I was actually about to call for a fill when I found out I was pregnant so I'm pretty loose at the moment.

my fill got tight about 6-7 weeks and i went in for a slight unfill (1/2). starting about 11-12 weeks, i started getting loose again and went in and had a few cc's put back in.

good luck

My initial unfill was at about 6 weeks. After that, it was smooth sailing until about 30 weeks, when I got the rest out. Believe it or not, with my band empty, I still have quite a bit of restriction depending on the day. I'm so glad all my Fluid is out right now!

I think it depends on you and you pregnancy.. everyone is different.. the important thing is getting enough nutrients to the baby.. I have heard that some people get totally unfilled while others stay filled. I was so sick with my first one that I cant imagine not getting a total unfill.. I was losing weight with my first and no band.

I had a band baby back in April 06 and my band had 2.2 cc in it so at 9 weeks I had half removed and was left with 1.1 cc after I was really luck that I only gained 23 pounds the entire pregnancy. Good luck

I had a complete unfill at 5 weeks because I was really morning sick (3-4 times per day). Then I got refilled at about 18 weeks. Then another complete unfill at 32 weeks because of acid reflux. I think every person is different but my doctor has been really great about giving me fills and unfills to keep me comfortable. I'm due in about 4 weeks and looking forward to getting filled back up after the baby is born.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
