Ideas and Recipes struggling

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone...i was banded on July 8th and have lost 41 lbs. Wooohoo!

The only problem is...I am SO sick of meat, cheese, and eggs. I have four more weeks until i can add in vegetables.

How did all of you get though the post op diet without going crasy!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciatede!

Thank you so much!

I am being banded tomorrow and my post op diet is different, I can add veggies and some starch after the 6th week, in moderation, but have to eat Protein first, then veggies and then starch till full.

We can eat Soups that you can eat with a fork like the chunky kind and not drink the broth also

I love squash and when the butternut comes out I love to add some cinnamon, and nutmeg and splenda and then mash it up and eat it. It's my favorite veggie. Could do the same (without the spices) with sweet potato and turnip and carrots.

Crock pot cooking was recommended too, like a good stew, and save the broth. Eat the soft meat, then veggies and potatos.

Lots of choices, just make sure that the meats are very very tender and moist.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
