How much have you lost July Butterfllies??

I saw a similar thread by the May bandsters. I think the Butterflies should let each other know how much we lose! I know that the month isn't over yet, but those of us that are banded, or are doing preop diets should have somewhere to share our success!!!

I'll start. I have lost 13.5 lbs. since starting the preop diet!!!:thumbup:;)

Please share!!

Congrats, I have faith you'll meet your goal. my goal is to lose a total of 92lbs by my 7/22/09. My one yaer mark. I to need to pick up the workouts. I just had a breast aug. and can't workout for 6 wks, so I guess it will slow down my loss for a while but I'll just step it up when I can resume.

I am at 110 pounds... I feel so fortunate to have done this well so far. Am at a point where the inevitable inner 'stuff' associated with my lifetime of weight and weight issues has started coming up. Needless to say am on a stubborn plateau, but not gaining, so I am thankful for having learned enough to not be gaining in this mentally challenging period of my journey. Has anyone else gotten to this place and if so, any words of encouragement or advice?

Thanks, and congratulations are in order to all!! Way to go everyone!

That's amazing, Congrats.

How many fills have you all had? I was banded July 23,08 and I've gained 5 pounds. I've had 3 fills and I can still eat anything. I have no restriction at all. I have another fill scheduled April 22nd. I'm glad all of you have done well. I hope you all can give me some advice. I'm so discouraged.

I am so sorry lisa. What are you eating? I find that journaling my food intake is the only thing that keeps me eating properly. When my weightloss stalled I saw that it stopped after I began eating Special K Cereal.

After you get your fill, also journal. When you first get restriction, you will need to keep track of the types of foods you are eating. You will probably notice that eating meats are a little more difficult. Just make sure you chew it really well and take smaller bites. Good luck with the fill.

I have lost 103 pounds since my surgery date of July 3rd.

Congrats to you both. Amazing and inspiring.

Lisa, do you mean that you've not lost any weight since surgery last July?

Lisa, I am going for my 9th fill tomorrow, and I am still not at my sweet spot. All I can tell you is I do best when I journal my food intake, eat 60grams of protein a day, 64ozs of liquids a day, walk 30 minutes a day, and try to eat 6 small meals a day. If I don't do those things, I don't lose, in fact I gain. The band is a tool that just helps with the hunger. You have to do the work and it will work for you. Talk to your doctor. You need support. There are several threads that will help you. I post on "I'm here to help" lap band buddy, July Butterflies, and the over 50 gang. I look forward to hearing from you again. Hang in there!
