Post-op blood work....

I was wondering if anyone who is 6months or more out from being banded had had their cholestrol(sp?) checked? I have high CHO and very high LDL so I was wondering if anyone had seen a decrease in their levels after being banded. I know they go down alot after RNY but I haven't seen much about aafter banding. Thanks and God bless, Donna

Mine cut in 1/2 after just 2 months -- from almost 300 to 156. Course, I lost alot of weight those 2 months as I was on liquids for 6 weeks.

Losing weight will help your cholesterol IF your cholestrol is high because of the weight. Some people have genetic issues and losing weight will help, but might not get you all the way to where you want to be.
