One fill and I still am eating the wrong things and giving in to temptation.

I feel that I have no restrictions and I can't go for another fill before three weeks.

So I give up.

Just had to say that

Don't give up! For MOST people it takes 3-5 fills to get to the right restriction level. It takes time. 3 weeks isn't that long of a time in the grand scheme of things...it might seem that way now, but a year from now, you'll look back and realize that it was all worth it.

Use these 3 weeks to concentrate on eating good things. Good, solid, nutritious food. Take these 3 weeks and do an exercise routine. Take these 3 things and concentrate on drinking Water. Hey -- that's 3 things.

This week: work on good food.< /p>

Next week: work on exercise.

3rd week: work on getting in Water.< /p>

Now...when you come to the 2nd week, that doesn't mean you can eat junk again -- you add something new in.

It takes time to change habits.

I felt discouraged after my first fill too, I thought I would get some restriction then, but didn't feel any different from before I went. Hang in there, it will get better. The main this to concentrate on right now is getting your Protein in first. You can do this!

Nope...yer not allowed to give up after 1 fill...most folks need 3-5 to get "just right" and you'll get there too...this is the frustrating part and just take comfort that most of us had to deal with that period of frustration too.

Until it's properly adjusted, the band will not do much of anything...once it is, it'll be easier to focus on making better choices because you'll know you can't eat as much and you won't be hungry all the time.

Hang in there.

What they said. If you had surgery just to "give up" after a short time, well, why did you have surgery? This is a lifelong journey and you have only just started. After another couple of adjustments you'll look back and say, OH! That's what it's all about.

You're NOT giving up!!

Hi all,

Here has been my roller coaster for thelast few weeks, Had one fill of 2c.c and had restrictions for three days. Went back for a second fill three weeks later added another 4ccs felt well after the visit went to work, three hours later began vomitting non stop had to rushed back to the doctor where he removed 2.5cc. Went on liquids for three days then tried to eat msuhy stuff but it won't stay down. I am not going back to the Dr. but this is really getting annoying.I am giving it one more week then if things are not better I wil go see him again.

Don't give up. I know it's hard...I am having a hard time too right now, but hang in there. Today may be a "bad" day but tomorrow is a chance for a "good" one. Just keep posting, sharing your thoughts and feelings, and get all the support you can. You can do this.

Hugs to you.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
