Hi new people.

Anyone watch the Palin and Biden last night? Constitutional gay rights but not civil???

Curious.

Hey Juli, I did.

I wasn't totally happy with either answer...but I know that we have to do these things in steps. Right now my concern is for the country surviving after all the abuse Bush put it through. So constitutuional rights is a start and as soon as I get that I will be on the front lines of the fight to have the right to marry.

I think that Bidden doesn't care if we get married, I honestly don't think that McCain or Obama does either. Saying that they believe in the term "gay marriage" I do think would cost them the election, as much as it pains me to say. But the younger generations are coming up there. I think in the next 10 years, if we keep fighting we will have federally recognized gay marriage. The old prejudice farts can't live forever. There will always be the Palins of the world, but we are going to outnumber them.

Thats my two cents.

I heart lesbians.

We rock. Generalizations and all. Nothing like talking to a like-minded gal.

Hi all,

I'm Macro (37yo female) from Australia. Banded on 2nd July, 2009. I have just had my second fill and am now really learning the lesson of chewing and eating slowly. Didn't have ANY restriction with first fill, and didn't think the second one would make a difference either (how wrong was I!!?)

So glad to have found this LGBT forum, thank you so much whoever started it!!!

Hey everyone! I just got banded Oct 30th and feel really good.

I am bi, I guess. I have had relationships with men and have met a lot of women, but usually I am just really attracted to women but not in a relationship way, if you know what I mean. I suppose one day I will figure it out. I am single now and just having fun.

Nice to meet you all!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
