pregnant and constantly vomiting

Recommended Posts

Hello Dr and every one:

I had the band done on september 2006 . I am now 36 weeks pregnant. I just had one fill before pregnancy. The beginnig of pregnancy up to about 2 months ago I was ok.I did not vomit as much. However, I have started throwing up when I had some small amount of food. Also, I am unable to eat or drink anything midnight or when I wake up until about 1pm( I throw up even small sips of water).last 2 or 3of times I went to my Ob/GYn he told me I had lots of ketones in my urine which are not good for baby's brain and told me I am starving myself .My husband has started giving me so much guilt and checking me up so that I wont throw up. he tells me he wont forgive me ever if anything is wrong with the baby.. I have moved to a state other than the one I had the surgary I now live in brooklyn,ny. I am so desperate and I dont know what to do I have also lost about 3 pounds this month. what do you suggest regarding the diet I need to follow till the baby comes. Do you think I should get and unfill or can I go on without it til delivery.does unfill now harm the baby?

Thanks alot

Your first concern should be yours and the baby's health. I would go for an unfill or at least have some of your fill removed. You really don't want to have this hanging over your head when you are trying to enjoy your brand new baby. Are you still taking your prenatal Vitamins?

Since you're in the home stretch, I would get an unfill so you can make sure to be feeding the baby right now. Get it re-filled after you deliver.

An unfill is definitely the way to go if you are vomiting regularly. You will feel so much better and be so much healthier if you can get more nutrition in as well. You can always get another fill once the baby comes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
