I need smaller pants please!!

Recommended Posts

Whoohoo!! Twelve months ago, when I started my new job at a new mine, I had the horrible experience of having to go up yet another size in men's work pants and had to tell the guys in the store what size to order - which they didn't even have in stock! There was a whole embarrassing kerfuffle that went on for months as they had to order my size (127cm). When the pants finally arrived months later, they just fit and in the weeks before my surgery, they were really uncomfortably tight.

Three months ago, they were falling off me and I went back to the 122cm pants I was wearing at my previous job. These have been getting looser and looser and this morning when I got up off the bus seat, I almost left them behind, so I thought "Right! Time to change!" It was a wonderful feeling to walk into the stores and announce in a loud voice "I NEED SMALLER PANTS PLEASE!!" What was even better was, after I tried them on, I didn't just go down one size to the 117cms, I fit into the 112cms and THEY'RE NOT EVEN TIGHT!!:wink_smile: WOOOHOOOOO!!!

PS: I would have put this in the NSV thread but I couldn't find that. I went back 4 pages on the index too - where did it go????

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
