If you have surgery in Mexico, what happens when you need a fill?

I have heard people flying to Mexico for fills, but what other things are your option?

My daughter gets hers in Washington state from a clinic. There are private clinics and doctors that are willing to treat Mexican patients, but there are many also who will not.

Also, Fill Centers USA has 30 clinics nationwide that cater to Mexican bandsters. You can check out their website to see if there is one near you.

Fill Centers USA - Lap Band Fill - Lap Band Support - Lap Band Post Surgery - Weight Loss Surgery - Fill Center USA - LapBand Adjustments - Bariatric Surgery - LapBand Fill

I've never used them, as I live close enough to Tijuana to drive over for my fills.

If you are thinking of getting surgery in Mexico you should do some research and make sure there is someone close enough for you to get to for fills and unfills.

I know the surgeon I used in MX gave me a list of fill doc in the US that work with MX banders so I could contact one in my area and set up my after-care before I had surgery. Fill Centers USA is always an option too. They have many locations. Just check into it first. I went to MX and had a wonderful experience. PM me if you want more info...Good Luck!

Getting fills and getting a doctor to take you on as a patient r are 2 different things ! There r docs that will take mexican bandsters , my doc is one of them. However, they require certain things from the patients. ANd i HIGHLY Suggest you find a doc who fill take you BEFORE you go and find out what they want from you out of Mexico .

Some US docs wont touch you if you were banded but certain mexican docs ! Fill center USA will take nearly anyone from what i understand.

However i believe everyone banded in Mexico or not should have after care by a doctor lined up and that can be difficult to find .

Bottomline DO IT BEFORE YOU GO TO MEXICO .

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
