Anyone else need to get back on track, or is it just me?

Recommended Posts

I'm so mad at myself. We went to a couple of pool parties with party food and drinks over the holiday weekend. I weighed in today and I've gained 2 pounds. I've been on carb overload since then. I can't seem to stop! I did this to myself, I have no one to blame but me! I'm getting back on track today! Normally I track everything I eat on fitday and I haven't done that in almost a week. I can't believe after just 6 short weeks I've already gotten so complacent. Sheesh!!! I get another fill next Wed and boy do I need it. I can eat almost anything with no probs. Everything is going down too easy and I've gotten lazy!!! Not to mention the fact that I had several margaritas over the weekend loaded with empty calories and sugar. It's been so long since I had one and they were so good!! Enough is enough. Today I'm back on track with a vengence. Anyone want to join me. If not, just give me some supportive words please. Thanks!!!

i'm in the same boat! i was banded on 04/21/08 and had my first fill on 05/19/08. i was on the liquid then mushie diet up to my fill so i didn't start eating real food until 05/22/08. once i started i find it so hard to stop! as a matter of fact, i feel LESS restricted after my first fill! i'm going in for my 2nd fill on 06/07/08 and have already scheduled for july too!

Kris in Cleveland:

I noticed Dr. Trace Curry did your surgery. Was that in Cincinnati? Do you live in Cleveland and travel to Cinti? The reason I ask, I live in Northern Kentucky and have heard of Dr. Curry. I almost considered having him do my surgery, but he wasn't one of the providers my insurance company would accept. I had my surgery done by Dr. Thomas Sonnanstine in florence, KY and I am VERY pleased with him and his entire office staff.

Anyway, just curious.

And I, too, am able to eat more than I think I should be able to. I've had one fill, but obviously need more. Maybe we all just haven't hit that "sweet spot" yet. I've heard it frequently takes 3 fills to get there.

Hang in there ladies!

Jan (from KY)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
