I know this is a stupid question, but something that I am worried about.

I have really bad allergies. I was banded on 5/22 the last 2 days my allergies have been acting up. Everytime I sneeze, I feel it where my port is located. My question is, do you think it will affect my port since it is not yet settled? I am really worried about this.

Hi,

I was banded on April 29th and I've noticed in different situations you will feel your port. More than likely it's probably due to your new to the band. I have really bad allergies and I sneeze all the time, and I use to be able to feel my band when I sneeze, but I no longer feel it.

Hi there,

You guys have absolutely nothing to worry about regarding the sneezing. If you were simultaneously vomiting profusely, then we would have cause for alarm. As always, continue to post your questions/concerns here as it is always better to be safe than sorry .

Take care,

-Shannon

I sneeze ALL the time and at first I would hold my hand over my stomach because it hurt (when my incisions were still fresh), but now I just let it rip.

It's my opinion that our doctors know the human body and what we put it through - throwing up, sneezing, coughing, bending, lifting, etc.

Unless you feel wicked pain in your stomach area after sneezing, I'm sure you're fine.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
