Thanks everyone!!! Saturday night I started feeling really nauseous, dizzy, and lightheaded. I could barely get Water down! It wasn't until late last night I went out with a friend and finally started feeling normal again!!! I'm so glad I can feel myself getting better now, thanks for all the support!!!!!!!!

I am having trouble finding stuff to eat also. I don't have it in me like some of you to puree table food like pizza and hamburger as I have read some of you do so I have been eating a lot of chicken salad, egg salad, pinto Beans pureed with cheese and scrambled eggs. I am so sick of Soup from the liquid stage but I guess I may have to add some again. I go to the doctor tomorrow for my 1st post-op visit and I may be getting a fill because he will be away for a month and they don't want me waiting that long. So proud of all us May bandsters we are all losing!!!!!!

Ugh I hear you, I can't wait to start eating regular foods! Even scrambled eggs would be awesome!!! I'm on nothing but yogurt, pudding, and creamy Soups for 2 weeks

Hang in there gals! It's one step at a time and keep focused! My doctor let me start back on regular diet about two weeks out from surgery date-May 14-and I have to really pace myself to make sure I don't overeat. I feel great at this point. And I understand about the mushies/pureed foods. I did try some baby-foods, but it's not the same-you can't chew them! I like cheese, so that's what I had...cheese is soft and goes down rather easily, if you chew slowly and get in the habit of 30 times chew-chew-chew! Not drinking with my meals is the hardest part for me. I'm 'practicing' trying to do that, but it's easy to forget! My first fill is on the 26th and I'm excited about getting that done! That should really help me keep from putting stuff in my mouth.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
