New and needing help

I've just recently gotten brave enough to look into the bypass and lapband information and I've decided I'd rather have the lapband. I've been told that my insurance does cover it and my doctor is with me 100% but I haven't really started the process yet. I was wondering...something that kind of freaks me out is having the port in your stomach and it's something my grandmother was worried about too. I just wanted to know if it felt weird or if anyone had any stories or feelings about it.

well that's good to know about the port. i dont mind needles or shots. i guess i just envisioned this thing like a g-tube where the port is on the outside of your stomach. i work with kids who have severe medical needs, so i just assumed that's what you meant.

it's good to know it's not. :rolleyes2:
