4 weeks out and getting hungry..

Hi all,

I had surgery 4 weeks ago and am feeling GREAT, but now I'm getting more hungry. I'm in stage 5 for food, but I am finding I can eat more. I go for my first fill on Monday, April 25 and I also will get weighted. I know I've read this before on the board but I don't feel the restriction I felt when I first came home from the hospital.

A couple of things from an old timer (surgery in 2002):

1. Most people feel no restriction from the get-go.

2. Restriction can vanish overnight.

3. Restriction comes and goes depending on things like where you are in your menstrual cycle.

4. It's completely normal to get hungry at this stage.

5. You are in the beginning of this journey. Later this annoying, frustrating beginning part will seem so far away. But for now, it sucks. As time goes by it will get less frustrating.

Take care.

Hey Renne I'm right there with you. I feel like I'm eating almost as much as before!I'm just trying to get in all my water , protein and I'm kicking my butt into gear and excersing hoping it will jump start somemore weight loss. I hope that once I get a fill it will get better. I am at a stand still with my weight and I'm just trying not to gain till I get a fill! Hope your Dr. visit goes well! Keep in touch.

My doctor told me you don't get restriction until 4-5 fills they don't even fill the band at the time of surgery because you get swollen fromthe surgery itself it just takes time to get to that right point hang in there.
